As a few of you know, it was my intention to do a complete overhaul of the jutsu section. Currently, only the Universal jutsu, which is two sections, have been completed to do so.

Since this task is so large, and because I do not have as much time to devote to the task anymore, I'm posting here to ask for help in this task. Now, I have asked for help before. A few people volunteered, and little got done. I'm not blaming this on anyone, since it was purely optional, and any help was appreciated.

However, with the move withing sight, it seems more pressing than before to get it finished. Volunteers are welcome, though I am making it a requirement for members of the Jutsu Staff to aid in this pursuit.

The above list is the jutsu scrolls that are going to be our primary focus. Do not worry about the sub-jutsu for the time being, just the village's jutsu. I want you to post which section you are taking. Take one at a time, and PM the finished result to me (details below) before taking another.

For now, the prime objective is organization and balancing, so you'll be following the template below:

You alphabetize each rank division. If you see a jutsu with just an english name, use mahou.org/Dict and select Japanese and translate it one word at a time. Use your own judgement to make the best choice from the words it gives you. If the situation is vice-versa, try to find the english translation using the same method above. If it fails, it was probably randomly made up, so just put "---" for the english name. If you have questions regarding it, check the Universal Jutsu for an example first, and then PM me if you still have trouble.

When you finish your section, PM me your finished work. Please put it within the [-- code --] tag. If you find duplicates, leave them in, but let me know. I'll take it into account when I get to re-writing the descriptions.

Basically, that's the first step for now. After that gets done for all of the village jutsu, we can move on to the next step.

Alright! It is about time we had another writing contest roll around!

This time, the theme for the contest is a day at the beach. Write up a story of your character having a good time at the beach, either alone or with friends, anything! Fighting is frowned upon. D=<

NPCs are allowed.

Oh, and of course, being a contest, there's prizes! I will pick up to three winners for the contest.

• First and foremost, this is about having a fun time at the beach. Entries with fighting or violence in them will not be considered for a prize.
  
• ONE ENTRY ONLY! Multiple entries for the same character will not be accepted. If you try to use a second account to get by this ruling, that will also be declined, and I won't have to read your entry.
  
• There is no rank or post requirement, but I want a minimum of 300 words.
  
• Entries not accepted after deadline
  
• Deadline is Wednesday May 6th, at 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.
  
• All entries must be sent to me in a PM. I only accept entries sent to this account (Spoon).

Well, nobody seems to want to RP in UA, so for now Urban Assassin is closed. It's been dead for a long time, and I'm sick of making great adjustments, and bringing in great ideas just to have people ignore them. I personally saw a great potential for UA.

The cbox subscription just ran out, so it'll be a little while before we can get it up and running again. Please use the spam area in the lounge to communicate for now.

This is a notice that reviews for WoN staff are commencing. For those members who don't know what this is, it's a seasonal review when the activities of staff are looked over and it is decided by the admin whether individuals are no longer needed, staff jobs need to be adjusted, as well as opportunities for members to get jobs as staff in WoN are posted. This is a somewhat paced process, so do not expect complete changes all too soon, however, if you are a member seeking to help out in WoN, please send a PM to Maria outlining the reason why you should help, as well as areas which you'd like to help out in. This is also a chance for members to message me directly about any concerns they may have regarding how WoN is run, as well as the people who work in it. All concerns are kept confidential, and is taken very seriously.

Character Bios

All bio threads have been moved to Inactive Characters. This is because there have been changes made to the character bio template. These changes will be outlined below. To activate your character, please repost your bio with the newly updated character bio template in code form in this thread. [x] Your character will then be reactivated, placed in the Approved Characters subforum, and you can continue to RP as them. For the character template, click here. [x]

Kage

This is no longer considered a rank, but a title. All kages are to have the same jutsu template as Elite Jounin, however, will have a separate list for their kage jutsu, which will have a maximum of 2 jutsu kage jutsu. Read the jutsu changes for more details.
Also, kage will be chosen by the forum members and staff. Elections will be held and the members of that village can vote for the member they wish to have as their kage. Info can be found here. [x]

Until there are sufficient numbers in each village, NPCs and the old reigning active kages will run their prospective villages.

S Ranks

In relation to the kage changes, other than the 1 S rank jutsu given to those who attain Elite Jounin, S ranks are only attainable as prizes in tournaments, rewards in special missions, or as prizes in contests/writing contests. S rank as a level is still only attainable by special means. Any other S rank jutsu attained by any other means other than being part of the default E. Jounin template must be placed in your special jutsu list. Info on S Ranks. [x]

Joinable Groups

Joinable groups are now available! This feature is not only used for villages, but organizations, clans, and clubs too. Right now, there are only villages created, but clans and organizations will be created next. Clubs will come last, an normal members can make their own clubs too. A minimum of 100 posts is required to make a club, but it entitles you to you leading your own group. You will also get your own subforum that only you and your club members can see. (Well, and staff.) You can select whether you screen new members before they join, or make a club that anyone can join. As leader you can also hold your own events in your subforum, or even RP. Post Length

Minimum post length has been changed to 3 - 4 sentences minimum. Please note that this is for general RPing. Higher post count may still be required or preferred for exams, missions, etc.

Other Stuff

-Inactive accounts with 0 posts have been deleted.
-New banner and new mini banners have been added.
-Forums have been condensed and rearranged.
-Secondary weapons have been removed from the bio template, however, you are still allowed to use them in threads. They are just no longer counted piece-by-piece in a bio. Abuse of the use of secondary weapons are monitored by staff and can result in verbal or account warning.
