Deejay,

The info is still commercially sensitive to post on here. Is there any branch that you want to know about?

There was 47 in total, there will be more to follow.

Reading over on Topix.com for Wolseley, looks like more will be axed in Florida this week. There had been rumors about more closures the week before Christmas. The time has come and I believe this week will be another 'tell all' for the company.

This is my last post on the forum. I resigned yesterday. It seems that 15 years experience as a manager in this industry was only good enough to get me 6 months with Plumbs.
Increase overall sales to over 160% of target, get complaints about margin.
I've done 78% of my whole year sales target in 5 months!
Increase delivered sales 6 fold, take my van away.
Peak turnover £147k with two and a driver.
Propose to use van driver in warehouse, they made him redundant.
Take 50k-75k Eaga off my branch, so I'll miss sales targets. Then they can moan about that too.

Couldn't take anymore, I'm off.

Don't know where to yet, but I'm based on the south coast, anybody needs a hand, post me back.

i'm sorry to hear your leaving shorty
wolseley is run by accountants now and boy doesn't it show! i left wolseley 2 months ago after 14 yrs to a rival company and they are certainly customer friendly (its surprising how many wolseley staff are here) anyway , best of luck and a happy new year to you
