The new policy (Drugs and Alcohol) was only announced to some parts of the business in the last couple of weeks and yet the three month amnesty ends in September, is there something wrong with my calender, and can this same logic be used when handing in notice? |

I hadn't thought of that, but you are correct, short term absentee rates are going to increase rapidly following the introduction of this policy in September. Perhaps I am being paranoid, but with this is mind is it a coincidence that the Company introduced the Bradford Index for attendance management only a short while ago, which is designed to highlight frequent short periods of absence. I cannot help feeling that their is a policy group within the company that have a long term plan that is in the process of being implemented. |
