I am always delighted when I can find open source freeware, such as firefox and thunderbird. Well, I found a program called paint.net that is absolutely fabulous. I've never had a high-end graphics/photo editing program but I have to believe that this one comes real close, minus the huge expense. Anyway, I recently starting downloading add-ons or plug-ins and cannot believe some of the things I am able to do. I have always stuck to programs that were loaded on the computer from the factory, but since I am on a fairly new machine, I wanted to have something better for images...and I have definitely found it. One of my first projects you can find at the top left of my banner...it is the 'Wild Moon', which is overlooking the St. Paul skyline. I highly recommend paint.net if you are searching for a complete photo editing/graphics program. getpaintnet.net |

Cool, I'll look into it, but I don't have really much of a need for it. |

Well if you ever do find a need, so far I could not be happier with it...and I have yet to even scratch the surface as far as adding cool plugins that people have created. I don't know if I am cheap or what but I sometimes obsess on being able to get something that I think is high-quality for free! Which leads me to this...I have mentioned in the past that I thought you should have your own avatar to display by your posts, being a moderator and all. And since I am having a ball learning the features of this new program, give me a theme or something and I will attempt to make one for you, if you would like. |
