Unlike nearly all of the rest of the posters' teams Jenn's Stars have now beaten, at least Jenn's happy.

Oh well consolation is that we've all made the playoffs!

Those Lincoln Stars look sharp right now.

I really hope it's Omaha's turn to taste the cellar. They have been good for so long and it's just their time :)

Then I hope they win the Clark Cup to show everyone just how flawed the playoff system really is

Well at the latest, we will eliminate one team from a shot at the "Omaha Record" come November 10, 2006 ... Chicago @ Sioux Falls.

By the way, what's the "Omaha Record"? How many losses in a row?

By the way, what's the "Omaha Record"? How many losses in a row?

The Omaha record is the record they had overall in their first year in the league back in 1986-1987 season.

They finished the year:

48 Games Played

0 Wins

48 Losses

0 Ties

:D

Yeah, I heard about that, but I forgot. It can be beat! Teams play more games now.

The consecutive losses extends into the following season.

Speaking of the "Omaha Record", here is a trivia question for you all (Jenn can't play since she already knows the answer to this).

This is a 3-part question.

(1) Who did Omaha Lancers play in their first ever USHL regular season game that started the streak?
(2) Who was the last team to beat Omaha before their streak of losses was ended?
(3) Who is the first team Omaha beat in their franchise history?

First one to respond with the correct answers to all three questions gets to kiss Ryan.

1. Des Moines Buccaneers
2. Des Moines Buccaneers
3. Des Moines Buccaneers

I know the first two are right.

0-48? Man, that had to have been very discouraging for all involved.

Ryan, you get to kiss yourself. Don't get Bunni mad at you for kissing on her man :D

You are correct, Des Moines is the answer to all three questions.

Hint: Whenever Sieve asks a trivia question, always guess "Des Moines Bucaneers" first.

Either that or Storm Lake, Iowa & Waylon Jennings. I still don't remember the damn date.

(1) February 3, 1959
(2) Waylon Jennings
(3) Surf Ball Room in Clear Lake, Iowa

Memorizes those Jenn

(1) What day did "the music die"?
(2) What artist did NOT get on the plane "the day the music died"?
(3) What is the name of venue and city they played at "the day the music died"?
