Apologies if this breaks any of the T&Cs of the site - I hope it doesn't! Dear all, There are 2 basketball officials courses running in Hull next weekend, on Sunday 22nd November. The first course is from 10am - 12pm and is a Level 1 Table Official course. This qualifies people to officiate at school, local league and CVL level (and also to some degree junior national league). This is ideal for parents wanting to help out their kid's teams, and for players (or spouses!) to help out in local league competition. The second course is from 12pm - 4pm and is a Level 1 Referee course. This qualifies people to referee CVL, lower local league and schools games. Both are a basic introduction to the game of basketball, with no prior experience needed. There are no examinations to take in order to pass, candidates just need to show a certain level of understanding during the courses (as well as practical experience for the referee course). For more information contact Elliot Hakner at EHakner@goodwin-centre.org. The table official course costs £10.00 and the referee course costs £20.00. If you attend BOTH courses, the cost is reduced to £25.00. These are really useful qualifications to have, and would also be ideal for players trying to get to know the rules better. These courses will also run in Grimsby on Sunday 6th December, at the same times and at the same prices. More info is available again from Elliot Hakner, contact details above. If you have any questions, please leave them below in the form of a reply. Many thanks, Referoo! |
