Confirmed on the BBL live scores page now also.

And on Heat site:

Rocks Game Cancelled
This Sunday 8th November's scheduled game between the Glasgow Rocks and Guildford Heat has regrettably been cancelled due to a swine flu outbreak amongst the Rocks squad. The game will be rescheduled for a later date and all fans who have bought tickets for the game will be refunded.

^^^ EXACTLY! makes it extremely hard for any fans to get there, plus the players usually get there late, have no time to warm up and as a result lose!

very few Heat fans make it to Rocks home games whether it's weekend or weekday. and I think the players fly don't they? not half as arduous as some journeys.
some say he can smell corners .......

some say his helmet is autographed by Lewis Hamilton

some say the last edition of Top Gear was - the last one ......?

Yes they fly or have done the past seasons . They would of lost alot of £ down to the last game being cancelled . Would they fly again? Didnt know easyjet (usualy they use them) flew that late back from glasgow. But at 50pound or so a person its alot of £ to spend on flight again. Minibus and hotel halfway surely cheaper?

waste of valuable £££ . surely club cant afford to pay for two lots of flights?
Hotels around 40-50 palyers share halves the cost minibus 50-60 pound or so a day petrol about 200 return : total around £550 or so

10 seats on easyjet (players, coach and team manager) £500 plus hotel of what around £55 average times that by 6 rooms = £330 so aorund £900 . easyjets last flight back on the friday is around 8pm so they would have to stay overnight . They may use another airline but that would be alot more.

So surely its better to minibus it? saving £300 plus is valuable money and the club would have already paid £500 or so for the earlier scheduled game.

Also not to mention we have rocks away in december so treble the cost.

If no flight back then they could always catch the overnight sleeper train from Glasgow to London. Book far enough ahead they could get cheap berths and it doesn't leave until 11.40pm.
