I know I'm a grumpy old man- but I tried to see the stats for The Pirates v Lions game on Saturday and they are still not on-line. A further check shows that Pirates have not managed to have any stats available for any of their home games.

So, Pirates have no web-site- no stats and little clue how to run a basketball club. The BBL will always be judged by it's lowest product- Capitals and Pirates(and even Tigers can't manage a web-site) make the league a laughing stock.

We can praise Pirates for trying to run a non American team all we want, but if they can't get a basic infrastructure in place they shouldn't be in the league- the same goes for Capitals.

And Yeoman- just in case you want to come on here and spout your crap- DON'T!!! There can be NO criticism from someone who talks about a non existent league. Your comments would be worth NOTHING!

I agree. Its not even the website point : its the ability to fax or email a copy of the sheet to the league head office.

The league rules provide that clubs should be fined for failing to comply. I wonder if that is happening?

Probably not Dave...after all, assuming their issues are cash related, it seems pointless imposing financial penalties on them.

I don't disagree with yours and Pat's points though...ridiculous situation. Cash or no cash they can send a copy of the stats in, that can't cost much

Capitals stats appear to be online

Pirates ones aren't, and Tigers-Wolves is also missing

Maybe the split at Pirates (Ian Mollard I'm led to believe isnt involved there anymore) has left Tim Lewis with too much work so some things have to be delayed?

It's hard to provide stats when you don't have a stat-man.

There's little point in advertising your website - www.essexpirates.com - when it's not even a holding page giving basic club information.

I've stayed quiet about Pirates (remarkably quiet considering some of the crap they've spouted about Leopards), but for a club who were two years in the planning stage, it's a pretty poor show.
