According to the local "Worcester News" newspaper,Wolves have just added Lithuanian former Guildford Heat player Nerijus Karlikanovas to there squad.

As a 6'-8" forward with great shooting touch he will bring both good rebounding strength together with 3 point shooting ability.

Those Wolves fan's who saw James life claim the 2007/8 3 point shooting award may remember that it was Nerijus who he beat to win the crown.

Here are a couple of photo's of Nerijus whilst playing for Guildford 2 season's ago.....

WORCESTER Wolves head coach Chuck Evans had hoped to complete the paperwork for new signing Nerijus Karlikanovas in time for the League clash with Leicester Riders at Worcester last Saturday, but unfortunately, this was not to be. The Management team have been working all this week, too, to get things finalised. The last piece of the jigsaw fell into place late on Friday afternoon and the signing was completed.

The 33-year-old Lithuanian flew into England on Thursday night last week to bolster Wolves’ attacking options. The six-foot eight-inch forward spent a season with Guildford Heat in 2008 and will join compatriots Evaldas Zabas and Vidmantas Uzkuraitis at the club.

“Nerijus will give us more options offensively,” Evans said. “He adds firepower to our side.”

Sounds like a good move. Definitely need to bolster the rebounding.

Don't know how his stat's looked, but he seemed a decent signing against Riders today.

At Leicester:

From 17 minutes on court, he made 13 points (3 out of 3 from downtown), 2 rebs, 2 assists, and one T/O.

No bad for his first game!
