Result as expected but a good first half for the Pirates. Good to see Taner again, who is a nice player.

Great to see the lads on at the end.
A bit rusty and knackered but still impressive for her age!

I thought Joe Chapman had his best game yet for the Eagles, Charles did his stuff and both Jamie Glen & Neilson had a nice little cameo at the end. Jamie must have forced 3 turnovers all by himself by pressure D.

Not sure what to make of Pirates? They looked competitive in the first half but struggled in the 2nd somewhat?

Best game at the arena but his performance down in Guildford was even more impressive.

Thought it was a strange kind of game - not a huge amount of atmosphere for large parts of it. As others have mentioned the first half was a bit flat. Seemed like the Eagles never really got out of second gear but all credit to the Pirates for making a game of it in that first half.

Second half was much better from our point of view especially after Charles hit 8 points in that 12 point burst early in the 3rd quarter which effectively won the game. Thought he was really good again last night top scoring with 24 points. Also for me this was the best I've seen JC (couldn't make the Heat game) who had that purple patch hitting 3s. Loved his celebration lying on the court. Also thought that Big L had a really solid game and I'm really pleased for him given what he went through last season. Pretty solid game from Bridgey as well. Unusual few minutes in that second half when DD ran point :whistle

Fab didn't seen particularly pleased during first half but reckon he gave another one of those fiery half time talks. He certainly was pleased at the end of the 3rd quarter and as expected it was great to see the young guns on . A good performance from Jamie who really hustled whilst he was on and great to see the 3 pointer go in at the end. Shame Will didn't get on the score sheet but also some nice touches from Aaron.

Frisky … Great Pic's in the gallery :clap (8 instead of the usual 6 ... :hmmm … we are blessed !! ) …

Shame you didn't you get one of Fab giving Aaron a clip around the head in the 4th … :laugh (Still not sure what he'd done wrong :hmmm )

Thinking about it now , all of the youngster's got a fair bit of the old Fab vocal treatment last night :rant …. but still , it makes a change from Reggie getting in the neck

God , it's only been 1 day , and I am already missing BBall , and we got another 2 wks till the next home game (… Not sure how I am going to survive December … :pullhair )

Anyway, ... I'm rambling now ... :crazy !!

Byeeeeee …..... :blah

aaron chose to try and shoot a 3 over a 6`10 guy on a mismatch (and had it blocked) when he shoudl have appreciated the quickness advantage he had and took him to the hoop. Fab was spot on to point it out.

Have to agree with 2 points. Really quiet atmosphere, i mean really subdued, possibly with it being a sunday game and most people still half asleep adjusting to the clocks going back??

Secondly what a superb celebration after hitting that shot falling back onto the court and just raising his hand. Quality!

Oh and just a quick mention to the guy on the Golden Shot, best effort i've seen yet by some way!!

Yeah, last season a bloke I know touched the rim. In nearly every case you can tell before the ball leaves their hands whether there's any chance of it being anywhere near

Agree with you on that. I was actually enjoying all the nonsense with some of the Pirates time outs towards the end thinking at least I'm seeing a bit more of play - it'll help to put off the gap tilll the 7th. (I'd rather not think about December. God that's going to be hard. :( Will end up hitting the :drink even more probably)
