Good effort by the Wolves. Must have been exciting to watch with 50 points scored in the last Q.

Thanks to Solly and Wolfie for the updates.

Really need a win tomorrow against Capitals.

Zabas went for a trey on the buzzer to tie the scores, he hit the rim and Randy George took the rebound ... and put it back for 2.

Scorers: Zabas 19, Disy 18, Uzkuraitis 15, Christie 8, George 8, Harker 5, Saunders 4, Stewart 4.

Christie ran point but was only court for about 15 minutes, due to foul trouble.

Lithuanian guard combo ran the Wolves show for most of the game.

However ... the downside was the free throw shooting.

Disy 0 from 6, Harker 1 from 2, Zabas 2 from 4 ... 3 from 12!!

Apart from that ... "Much improved" (Solly)

BBL site gives Disy 20 points- pretty impressive if he got 0 from the foul line

Sounds like Wolves are making progress

Disy was good, very strong in the paint - him vs. Flo was some good entertainment!

Good effort from Zabas again and from Disy, but someone on the coaching team has got to help him improve those free throws. Tonights 0/6 for Harry makes it 5 scores from 23 attempts so far. The rest aren't much better with 3/12 dropping the team average to 50%, well below the next worst in the league.

Sounds like someone kept Skouson quiet tonight - only 5 points after averaging 16 up to now - and Saunders still doesn't appear to be contributing much, averaging 6.6ppg. Perhaps he will be the one to step up tomorrow?

Just got back from the game.....

For me, easily our best showing of the season so far (accepting that I was not at Essex last week). A better cohesion than previously shown, albeit the rotations and players minutes were not vastly different from what has gone before, except Christie getting to play the point, and Sanders minutes now even less (maybe 15ish tonite).

Everton were not the force I expected, but maybe their players are still getting used to each others games. At the risk of their (few) fans getting all cry baby bunting about any criticism I give them, I still have to say they have an embarassment of riches, such that there are only going to be more ego issues about who should get minutes, and who sits down - sorry, only 5 on court at one time, some of them will have to take it for the team.

Anyway, look out for more reports in the Worcs News, and the next home program.

Should be a W tomorrow (make that today!).

Oh yeah, couple of extra points -

1. Disy indeed hit 20 points, not the 18 I might have told Wolfie.

2. The players did not arrive as late as I might have implied in my texts to Wolfie. As I arrived at around 19.20, it was announced that tip off was to be put back by 10mins or so, whereupon Mrs Solly stated she wanted hot dog n chips. I was not given the chance to enter the sports hall, but was diverted to the eating area (of course, I had to pay :rolleyes ), so did not espy whether the players had arrived. As I had endured the most horrific of journeys to reach Everton (how many stretches of roadworks did I endure on the M6 - more than the number of free throws we made tonite!), I thought that the delayed tip may have also caused probs for the Worcs bus, and txted this thought to Wolfie. Turns out that, on this point, I may have been wrong.

On all points from previous postss though, I was right, especially that Tigers will again struggle to placate all those egos through an entire season...........
