Now is a 3 point loss to the whipping boys worst than a hidding from the Lions  Not a weekend to remember and we now face a tricky trip to Worthing Thunder next saturday, Extra training this week me thinks

Not quite sure what has happened to Riders since Everton at home. The starting 5 got benched early doors vs Essex, totally out of sorts vs MK & now today. I wonder if something more than meets the eye has gone on as this is one dramatic fall from where we started the season. Ever since pre season I have been worried by our defence. We have conceeded 80+ in nearly all the games (incl pre season) we have played in. We can't keep on relying on scoring 100 points a game in order to win it. I think we will struggle for play offs unless we can tighten up. |

Just back from london. Like last night we shot the bowl very poorly. Good looks and the correct shots but not making them. Missed lay ups and free throws do not help either. Too many of our guys are playing below the levels we know they are capable of. The BBL this year looks like its going to be a league where anyone can beat anyone on a given night which will make every game a test. Riders need to get back to basics and put up a much better show at Worthing next week. |

Shocking result, couldn't believe it when I looked, still can't now. Just shows how competitive the league is this year though and that you can't afford to sleep on any team. Alot of unexpected results this weekend so maybe not so bad if other teams are dropping points too. Hopefully when everyone has settled in the results will start to show and we will be playing at our full potetial. Sounds like we had the same problems yesterday as on Saturday, though still would have expected us to scrape a win at the very least. Like I said in the other thread just have to hope we bounce back strong this weekend and get ourselves back on track.
