MK Lions 79-75 Heat; Out of the BBL Cup at the first hurdle

Any Heat fans at MK last night?

From following the quarter scores and the game thread on the main BBL forum, it looked an insane game - Heat losing the 1st and 2nd quarters 19-25 and 16-25; yet winning the third 26-9 (!!!) only to ultimately go down 14-20 in the fourth.

Gutted to be out of the BBL Cup at the first round, but good to see that there's a lot of fight in the team - many sides would have folded at 35-50 at the halfway point. Sounds like it went to the wire too.

Very predictable that EJ Harrison would come back to haunt us!

Yeah there were quite a few of us there. We were so loud! My voice is actually damaged haha.

It was a really good game (in the second half) but it didn't help when Chad got fouled out.
LA shot more than he normally does, which I think is a good thing... And he did some good defence on EJ.
Tayo needs more confidence to drive...
Julius was REALLY good in my opinion! He never really gave up when most of our players did for a bit.
And Kenny was pretty good too =)
But I think they all passed it around too much... It was like they didn't want to shoot it so they just passed it away instead cos they were too scared of shooting!

But oh well, we can win today =)

It's a big, big ask tonight. Fingers crossed - am looking forward to it. So long as we give them a decent game I'll be happy.

Yeah I know, but if we lose, then we will have lost 3 in a row which will be sooo bad cos they might just give up =(

Due to prior family commitments I shan't be there tonight - which is a real shame.

Cmon guys: the Eagles machine is not invincible, everyone just thinks it is (which in turn...). Looking forward to hearing the good news on my return later this evening.

Go Heat.
GO HEAT

We play TEAM ball.

I reserve the right to ignore you in a grown-up, though slightly aloof way if you are rude to me.
