Pops had a big night last night. He got 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks in 23 mins and got the Rockets commentators very excited. He was 8-9 from the field. I only intended to watch the first Q online, but ended up transfixed and didn’t get to bed till 2:30am. I think he is going to be a big favourite in Houston. A good article about him from the Chronicle in Houston. Chronicle |

Guess the reason we havent heard much about his Rockets debut is he only played four minutes (despite Yao and McGrady being injured) and went scoreless? |

I'm not shocked to hear that Pops has been cut, I didn't think he would fit in as well in Houston as he did in Toronto, I don't think the Raptors will take him back they seem to have found a spark player in rookie DeMar DeRozan from what I've seen he appears to have taken the role Pops played, though is getting more court time. I think he'd be more suited to playing in Europe and probably would get a lot more court time. |

Pops could be on his way to Real Madrid -> http://www.talkbasket.net/news/real-interested-in-mensah-bonsu-2475.html It should be a great experience for him to play under Ettore Messina for Euroleague contenders. |

Madrid looking unlikely for the minute: Toronto claimed him off waivers. According to the boxscore I'm looking at he even got a few minutes of playing time last night in their loss to Denver. |

Dont think Pops was ever likely to come back to Europe -he seems to prefer to fight for a NBA roster spot |
