yep, but the most significant stat on that board for rocks fans is the fact that yanders, sapp and murray all play more minutes per game than any other player in the league. (all are above 37)

Dont come complaining about injuries later in the season ..............

You are thinking negative, are you a fan or not? injuries happen to people no matter what, and no matter how many minutes they play a game. lets just wish the best for the rocks and cheer them on. Let's Go Rocks!

Excellent point as always Dave.

As usual, the Rocks are dealing with a shoe string budget, hence the shoe string bench.

I second your observation, I think things will get tough in the next few weeks...

I stand corrected but Dave's an Eagles fan.
Feel free to start off your own newspaper......

I am indeed : and its kind of a point being made after what happened last year when you did lose Blake but you also ran out of gas. I was really surprised in the summer that you didnt go after someone like Westbrook from Leicester or even Perry Lawson as a back up guard.
Scott Russell may be developing but he is not at that level yet.

I appreciate that Hoya is new to this and would not necessarily know the history but the BBL is an arduous league played on hard floors in occasionally cold gyms and you can triple that effect for the teams unfortunate enough to be based at the extremities of the country and required to travel in mini-buses! Planning for the tough days of Jan and Feb is essential if you want to finish strong.

the rubbish thing is its the same every year, we have a strong team and one player gets hurt and we are done the one season that didnt happen we won the playoffs. the next season when arinze went down we got some bodies in. we need to do the same again! one good player and one rotation player would do nicely but there is no chance of that happening

on a lighter note great start for jessie hope it continues but odds are he will be the one that goes down:(

Completely agree.

Yet again we are walking a tight rope from Day 1 of the new season and any injury will have a significant effect on our performances as a result of our lack of numbers. We have a talented group of players who are capable of beating any team in the BBL on their night, but I fear that lack of numbers will again find us struggling to compete for silverware.

too bad youngrock that you have never had the chance of seeing sapp play 3 games a day on blacktop. hopefully all those years of doing that has prepared his body for the hard floors abroad. still hoping the best for the team.

It's good to have you aboard the Rocks forum Hoya and giving us over here another perspective on the game :welcome Please keep posting! My other half and I watch the college game a lot and have seen Jessie in action for Georgetown but can you enlighten me about the "3 games a day on blacktop".

sure no problem linda. blacktop is outside concrete. Sapp is know all over, especially in new york as a great person and bball player so the amount of games he plays in this league he deffinately played more this summer alone in streetball. great talent. he has all types of aka names which you earn on the streets from playing ball. hard to explain but great to see.
