Don't suppose anyone went up to Everton last night? From the review on the BBL site, it sounds like a very promising performance. To get to 2 minutes from the end of the game at 79-79 shows how close it was - and on paper this will be one of the hardest games of the season. Heat have horrendous fixtures for the next few weeks - after Friday's cup game at MK, we have last season's top 3 - Newcastle (H), Everton (H), Leicester (A); followed by away games at Rocks, Sheffield and Everton in November. We could fall down the BBL Table (hopefully temporarily!) but if we keep it as competitive as last night sounded we'll win a fair few more than we lose over the course of the season. |

Yes, a few of the party faithful made the trip. If only James Jones hadn't hit quite so many 3's, it might have been a different result.... And for the return match, if we were to sit the Everton fans in an equivalent viewpoint to where the Heat fans were initially expected to sit, we'd be seating them in the car-park! Fair play to them though, when we pointed out that to see the game from our initial seats we'd have needed binoculars, they did in fact move us to some better seats. |

Yeah I went. I really thought we were going to win until literally about the last 30 seconds :'( It was so annoying! But our free-throws were quite rubbish. And I'm still not convinced about LA Drakeford. |

Hold on one second NYKFAN. Guildford heat has a dedicated area for away fans which have good seats behind their team bench and the seats are within the court area - not past the basket. Yesterday however we were given seats which were at least 10 seats past the end of the court where no one else was sitting and we had every right to complain especially as there were SO many spare seats at the game yesterday within the central section. On a more constructive note, I suggest someone at Everton allocates a few rows for away supporters in a particluar section. It shouldn't be too hard to set up on the Echo Area seating system. Away fans who travel for many hours and add to the games atmosphere should be able to enjoy the game like home fans - not penalised because they are opponents. Enjoyed the game last night. Guildford missed too many free throws and i think had we not missed so many it could have been a different result. Will be interesting to see the stats when they are updated on the BBL site. Still very hopeful for the season! Go Heat! Amy x |

Maybe not really good seats, but the seats we got originally were right off the end of the court in a section closed off to the rest of the fans because you can't actually see the game from there! But I dont for one minute think it was deliberate - just teething troubles in a new venue - and the Everton Chairman was very welcoming. |

Just checked the stats on the bbl site and as per my above post we did miss a lot of free throws - 13 in total. We got scored just 6 from 14 in the first half. |

Heat do offer away fans the best seats possible - don't see how anyone could complain about them really. Re: the free throw misses - we'll need a big improvement here if we're to get anything from the next 3 league games (Newcastle, Everton, then Leicester - ouch). |

Spectrum only holds 1250 i think and thay are side on to the court so you can't get a bad seat anywhere really. This is what made the different price bands for the ULEB games just comical. Whoever came up with those prices just completely missed the boat! |
