Another loss, but improving?

 Defeat against Glasgow Rocks 87-93 last night but signs of improvement I thought. The stats show highest points scored so far and lowest points conceded, leading to the first losing margin in single figures.

There was plenty of aggression and determination on show from Wolves, which backed up by strong support from a smaller than usual crowd helped us pull back from 10 point deficits twice in the game.

There was some decent defense at times, some classic Wolves fast break scores and signs that the players are starting to know where each other is on the court. Zabas impressed again and is staying just ahead of Skouson as Wolves leading scorer on 16.5 ppg.

But we still have problems. Free throws only just over 50% with 9 missed - 3 more than the losing margin. A flurry of stray passes and turnovers at key times. Christie and Saunders showed some flashes - Christie with a couple of bullet passes leading to scores and Saunders some athletic defense - but they are still averaging only 8 and 7 points respectively.

Coming games against Pirates and Capitals are must wins. Martins replacement needs to be a good one.

 Did Randy George play against his old club and how did he perform?

 George played 21 minutes in short spells. Made 4 points, 5 rebounds and 4 turnovers. I didn't think he looked fully recovered from whatever it was prevented him from playing the two games last weekend.
