All-Star Posts: 2,336 Group: Member Member #266 Joined: July 21, 2006	having contacted the bbl basically a dq is an automatic 1 game ban there is the right of appeal which costs the club Ł250 (refunded if successful) and must be submitted with dvd evidence the 1st working day after the dq. 1 game is the minimum and the disciplinary committee can increase if the player has prior or the incident is particularly bad. There is also an appeal against that available to the club. Ban takes effect within 7 days. Player cannot sit on the bench or communicate with teammates after 20 minutes before the game when banned. He can sit in the 1st row of the crowd though so good luck enforcing that one at the JSSC!

What will happen if a player from Rockets, Magic or Leopards get ejected in a BBL Trophy game, I'm not sure - last time it happened the BBL disciplinary procedure was still handled by EB and both players (Laurent Irish and Yorick Williams) both got seven points, and hence no ban.

Ironic that Yorick will now get to turn out for Lions on Saturday without his opponent's starting PG available. Maybe he'll find himself in the front row to offer Tack his considerable experience on ejections and discipliniary points in the BBL! Of course the Rider's coach knows a bit about being ejected too, so it wouldn be interesting to know what he said to his own player afterwards... The real shame is that I'm actually making the trip up to the JSSC on Saturday, but won't get to see Tack in action.
