Err, how long is a piece of string? Could be today, could be tomorrow, most likely in 6 months!

Site looking a little better today - without the "Sorry....." statement on it.

Will be checking in for the updates during this evening's matches.

I stand to be corrected, but the only difference I can see is the apology has gone. Does this mean that this is when we're getting for the whole season ?

Really hope not as the Tigers site was supposed to be part of the new site - that is why we are waiting to relaunch I am told. Facebook and Twitter are filling the gaps though as most Tigers fans sadly don't bother with Whatsbev.

I wonder if the bbl site will ever go fully live rather than it's cut down version? ....

Mayor, facebook and twitter should not have the fill the gap as you put it...

Stevetino

didn't mean to suggest it was like for like - just the gap in some kind of online comms.

Which the club are actively using - although that is a long way from ideal - and we desperately need a website!!!

Cheers

The cut down website would be better than nothing I guess, but for the fact it's not accurate:-

'The star performer is Tigers’ Forward Jerome Gumbs. In both games, Gumbs grabbed 10 rebounds as well as putting up 27 points in the first one, a home tie against the Guildford Heat which the Tigers won 84-72, and 35 points in the next one, when the Tigers beat the Newcastle Eagles away from home'

Quote taken from the Team of the Week#7.

As an Eagles fan, that was one home game I missed!

Click on "To access our service on matchnights" and scroll down. The table is there but usually wrong or out of date!

You need to scroll down under the scores reports etc section. If you don't go far enough down you don't spot it.

Extremely poor. Any potential new fan couldn't find anything they'd want to easily, thus would simply move on.

What happened to the BBL tie-up with the PA as rights partner - That started pretty positively with the Setanta games and the Sportal site

Thought that was a four-year deal - has that bitten the dust?

I had that problem when I was searching the site for the table a few weeks ago; I didn't scroll down far enough.

Is it just me getting confused; or is the BBL site getting "re-designed" on almost an annual basis ? I used to think it was fairly good and would visit it regularly. Now it is only if I want to check something specific. A shame really and I don't understand why an organisation wiyh limited resources appears to give itsely uneccessary extra work.

I don't know all the details but all I can say (rightly or wrongly) is that this is the perception I have of the last few years.

Surely the ongoing saga of the BBL website is just a plain embarassment to the League. I attended the Pirates/Sharks game last night, where did I check the tip off time? BBC as I knew the BBL way would be long winded.

I use www.bbl1.moonfruit.com to get a fixture list- think it's a credit to them that most of last night's stats are online already

The BBL have been experiencing problems with a permanent website, a situation that I believe is trying to be resolved.
The website that Glen mentions is on a direct link from the main BBL website as far as I am aware an official part of the BBL website.

Whisper it quietly, but the new site will be up & running by the end of the month.
And by "the month", I do mean November !

Easier than trying to find a Pirates website!!! And far easier than finding out where they actually play!!!

Yeah, whatever the rights of wrongs of the BBL website situation it shouldn't be beyond any club to have a simple information page available - next few fixtures, venue address, email address & phone number for enquires etc.

seems the 2 companies involved in the original website plan both went into administration

the new website should up "in the next week" according to Britball
