been thinking since the O2 coverage although its great I can watch 2 games a week (probably not live as I have to get up for work!) and it looks really great in HD i have a few gripes (yes already!)

I know this has been said on anotehr post but I really really hope when the regular season games start they keep with the original US based commentry and game night analysis (surley these would keep production costs down anyway!)

Cant understand why they did not pick up the sunday games as opposed to Wednesday games so at least one game could be shown live at a reasonable time (used to love the 8PM game on a sunday night on sky!)

Is this because thats an ABC game in the US not covoured by ESPN..?

sometimes I really think the people who make these decision dont have a clue...in an interview stern said he wanted the game to grow in the UK especially with the kids...well give us the live games when they wont be in bed!!!!????

When does the ESPN fixture list go up to?

The Sunday ABC games don't start until the end of January when the American football season is about done.

ESPN tonight ....... Real Madrid v Utah ..... tip at 7.45pm (UK).
ESPN have invested a great deal of money in their basketball coverage ....... if fans want this to be more that just a one year deal, then the ratings have to be good.
There will always be a few who feel that they have to whinge and gripe....... there's a long history going back to the Channel 4 days ..... but if you are serious about basketball being covered over the long term...... tune in, get your family and friends to do so, as well, and, if you feel you have to comment ...... BE POSITIVE !

I did not think my post was negative, if anything it was positive feedback and if an NBA exec would read it he may go...

hey there some good points here lets just go with the native comentry from the states and save money ( in fact if they look at the feedback in th US since they have been showing th uk based commentry of the football which is more more knowlegable, they will see that soccer fans in the US have enjoyed it more)

well do the same thing here then!!!

If the sunday games start in Jan and the rateings for wednesday are not that good as friday because everyone has to get up thursday again change it...!!!

dont think either of these posts are negative I will be watching the game tonight with friends and looking forward to it, just give some feedback!!!

I could be really synical and say some posters on here dont want the original commentry for their own gain but I ave too much respect so I wont.... :tsk

I'm almost certain that they'll retain the US commentary for the real NBA games.

ESPN missed most of the 3rd quarter due to "technical problems" leaving them with no picture

That's their MO for ESPN America. I can't imagine it'll be any different.
