am going to assume it was both, but as a team would you then blame the 3 losses on martin since he is the only one who seems to be being at fault for starting 0-3.i also heard an beleive martin was un happy there for a while so i guess they came to an agreement on a release as am sure the 0-3 start can't be pointed at one person.

Let's look at some facts.

Comparing the 'first three games' of Wolves point guards for the last three seasons:-

2007/08: Chuck Evans. 26 mins/game, 7.67 p.p.g., (2.95 points per 10 mins on court), 5.67 assists/game.

2008/09: Will Funn. 39 mins/game, 12 p.p.g., (3.08 points per 10 mins on court), 4.67 assists/game.

2008/09: Veron Tabu. 28 mins/game, 4.67 p.p.g., (1.67 points per 10 mins on court), 3.33 assists/game.

2009/10: Anthony Martin. 18 mins/game, 2 p.p.g., (1.11 points per 10 mins on court), 1.67 assists/game.

Doesn't look like 'Ant' stacked up very well against the Wolves' last three incumbents at the point.

I'm very sad to here that Anthony has left the club. :(

After the team's horrid start to the season it was alway's likely that Chuck would have to make changes fast to turn things around.

Anthony should not be singled out as the sole cause for our poor start. There are a number of player's who have yet to perform well in a Wolves shirt.

He is still a very good and capable PG.

I just think that Anthony's style of play didn't mesh with the rest of the Squad.

I'll be very interested to see who the club sign's to replace him. :hmmm

Anthony,Best wishes for the future & I for one, look forward to seeing you playing for another team soon!!

C'MON YOU WOLVES!! :wolf

However some people on here think Ant isnt starting PG material and would be better coming off the bench as a solid back up

everyone is comparing stats, lets not forget that skousons offense was a lot different than how chuck has them playing,an yes a system is important for players an if u a real fan or u play then u know this, the americans are not even avr close to double figures so maybe his style really didnt fit with wat chuck was trying to do.but i guess the blame has to be placed somewhere.

Hmmm he didn't Stack up because he wasn't Given the Playing Time to do SO... His Last Game he only Played 10 Min Total for the Game. So what was the Point in bringing Him there to be the Starting POINT GUARD and not Give him the Proper Playing Time to achieve Anything??

Yeah, Carlton ... but LOOK at the stats ... particularly the ones in brackets.

I use 'points per 10 minutes on court' as I think it gives a level playing field of 'productivity'.

Anthony only got 10 minutes on court last week BECAUSE he wasn't producing the goods (points and assists) whereas Evaldas WAS.

We brought him in as a starting point guard but he turned out not to live up to that billing, so I have to agree with other posters that he is probably only worth a back-up point guard slot.

These stats are useless, what about assists, steals.... how many fast break points did you get compared to previous seasons??

Ant is an unselfish player who will find ways for his teammates to score, and also a great defender.

Two reasons therefore why he did not fit in at Wolves.

The blame should be placed on the recruiter for not getting a point guard that will fit into the system he wants to play, maybe he should return to the court himself?
