For the Leicester game I am going to try and use Twitter to provide score updates and other random interjections through Twitter for anyone unable to make the away trip. Or for anyone else interested around the league. This has the advantage of me not sending 100’s of texts to all and sundry and means people can follow scores and match info even if they are away from their computer. Also anyone updating folk at Whatsbev can copy and paste scores and info straight from Twitter to Whatsbev. It will be an experiment to see how it works both from my end inputting and to see if anyone is actually interested in it as an updating service from a fans perspective. If you have a Twitter account my username is now themayor_tweets and I would welcome any feedback about how it works. If you don’t have a Twitter account you can sign up for free and start following me before the game on Saturday. You can get updates through any internet browser including mobile browsers and even for free via text messages – though I haven’t quite worked that out yet … If you have an iPhone there are some good free Twitter clients in the App store. You can also follow the Everton Tigers and get updates direct from the club. If you absolutely cannot make the match then give this a go and we will see how it works out. |

Having twitter updates is a great idea! especially if at least one person updates for each BBL team - it makes it so much easier for fans that can't make it to away games to keep up to date with scores. So I'm gonna tweet updates from the Rocks games - for anyone who's interested, my twitter is Lollyphoenix |

Cheers Lolly I will be following you. Shafty does Sharks home games. I got Tigers, you got Rocks. Need 10 more Twitters. Seemed to work OK from my end, people were following and responding. One was retweeting it to his 200 plus followers! Good way to get scores out there to BBL fans and other people too. How did it work from other peoples point of view? anyone following it from here? |
