Anyone thinking of going to Greenbank for this Friday's clash between Raiders and the Tigers please don't.

The match has been postponed

From the BBL website http://www.bbl.org.uk

Quote:

The BBL Championship clash between the Everton Tigers and Airwaves Plymouth Raiders scheduled for Friday 2nd October has been postponed due to some short term venue difficulties at Greenbank Sports Academy.

An announcement regarding the new date for the game will be made shortly.

The Tigers will now open their BBL Championship campaign the following day (Saturday 3rd October) with a road trip to take on the Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders (7.30pm @ John Sandford Centre).

Meanwhile the Raiders commence their Championship programme this Saturday (26th) with a trip along the south coast to take on the Worthing Thunder (7.00pm @ Worthing Leisure Centre).

This means our first home game will be the Arena clash against the Heat on the 11th of October.

Man I can't wait that long so will make sure I travel to Leicester on Saturday.

Anyone else up for checking out our new guys against high flying Leicester?

Directions and map from Greenbank to Riders Venue

2 Hours 21 minutes according to Googlemaps.

Hope to see as many of you there as possible - I can ask the club about reserving us some tickets if people feel that would be useful.

PM me if you do.

Edit - not sure the map takes you exactly to the John Sanford Sports Centre - Perhaps someone from Leicester could double check.

You have a bit of a walk from Deacon St, Most of us park in the old MFI car park which is on New Park Street / Braunstone gate,

Come out of the car park entrance on New Park St turn right go under the Huge Metal bridge(Can't miss it) on Western Boulevard and the JSSC is on your left hand side

Hope this helps, Look forward to seeing you on Saturday
