Players signing for 2009-10 season; Who's signed for your team

In the Manchester Evening News today it states that Brandon Kimbrough will be returning for a second year to Magic so long as the work permit goes through, and that talks are on going to keep the core of the English players (mentions Stephan Gill and Steve Boonham), also that Magic are looking at other EBL division 1 players (am guessing it meant EBL and not BBL given it just had BL) and the possibility of a second American.

I'd like to see Jeff bring in a solid big man whether that be American or European (including English) to play along side Steve Boonman.

Who's signed for your team, who's moved on or speculations post them here

Brandon's a solid point guard but our guard unit is not the problem (assuming we retain Taner Adu, Stefan Gill and Ambo Bell).

Would really like to see Jeff sign a big American (at least 6'8'') to help us up front with rebounding and interior defense. We were very short-handed in that area last year with just Boonham and Gerami and not much else.

I notice that Sheffield managed to get two such players last year (Tyler Ousley, who played the 5, and McLaughlin-Williams, an oversized 3 who was one of the league's best players and top rebounders), so there must be guys available if you shop around. Alternatively, bring back either (or both) Andy Thompson or Duncan Ogilvie.

Think we'd see the best of BK if he had a big man to feed. Either an import forward, Andy T or Ogilvie would be fine by me. I'd be surprised if either of the English guys came back though, not til (if) we're in the BBL.

Any idea where he's going? That would be a big loss, as you say, not just on the floor.

Just been told that Flyers have lost Tyrone Treasure. He's going to Texas on a scholarship, and that we have signed a few players, but names have not been released as yet.

wouldn't be surprised to see Taner at Leopards if he's moving back down south

That's a surprise. Good pick up for the Magic though.

I heard the Tin-Tin rumour a couple of weeks ago. It may be only a rumour, of course.

I believe Walid Mumuni's gone to Pirates.

I've not heard anything about players, I was down at the centre on Tuesday sorting out the stats computer and nothing was mentioned about players, I did see Steve Boonham down there.

Is a bit of surprise to hear Tin Tin is going to be a magic player, unless he has got work in Manchester or near by? Unless he's doing a masters degree or working in Manchester I can't see why he'd play for Magic.

Magic are indeed chasing Watts but have yet to sign any deal with him. Boonham is apparently out for the start of the season. Source

Pleasantly surprised by the Tin Tin rumour. I had a sneaking suspicion that Titmuss might take him to Worthing.

We'll have to see if it actually happens, but Jeff sounds like he's positively pursuing some big guys which is brilliant news, providing he lands one or two good ones!

Dan McKay staying with Reading is intriguing- anybody know whether he considered other options eg playing abroad?

Anyone know the website addresses for London Mets and Leicester Warriors?

I was of the impression Dan McKay was studying at Reading University.

As far as I'm aware, neither of those clubs has an active site. Sheffield Arrows site is also defunct.

It's always possible Magic would just pay Watts what they'd pay a second American, which I haven't heard anything about us signing.

Magic's American's have always had to earn their money doing coaching in schools, they won't pay Watts to just play.
