Click here for Free Agents list The season is over, the draft has been and gone but today is the start of free agency. Take a look at the list in the link and not only state which players you'd like to keep, but those you think could help your team. Boston: Glenn Davis: Would like to stay but if he's receives too big an offer, I doubt the Celtics will match it (and I would agree with that decision). Leon Powe: How unfortunate to get a serious injury just as his contract is expiring. Could be out a long time although I hope not as he's been a great spark plug for the C's. Hope he re-signs and is back sometime next season. (Given what the guy has been through, hope C's have enough to offer a league minimum, even if Powe out most of year). Eddie House: Announced he's picking up his option, so he's now staying. Happy with that as his shooting is key off the bench. Stephon Marbury: Undecided. Mikki Moore: Don't let the door hit you on the way out, fella! Players who could help make a difference: Ideally, I'd like to see a genuine big man in there to help spot both Garnett and Perkins, not some undersized forwards. In that respect, one of the following to use Boston's mid-level exception would be great. Rasheed Wallace - Has been a trouble maker in the past, but also a damn good player. He's hungry for a title and as a sixth man off the bench, would give Boston another dimension. Antonio McDyess - A player Boston have been after for a while and would be another good big man off the bench. Joe Smith - Someone Boston were after before they settled for Mikki Moore. Not as good as the above, but would still be an upgrade to the bench. There are a lot of star names out there, but unless they are willing to forgo a large salary to be on a contender, I can't see Boston willing to go much further over the salary cap. Players I think who could also help but who are very unlikely to come here would be Jason Kidd (instead of Stephon, but unlikely to accept lesser role), Mike Bibby, David Lee (Good player, bad team) and Orlando's Marcin Gortat (price will be too high as lot of teams chasing him). |

Well, can take Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva off the list, as they've verbally agreed to join Detroit (can't officially sign until next Wednesday). Edited by Niall Gray, Jul 2 2009, 10:02 AM.

Funny how Gordon "really wanted" to stay in Chicago and yet he's signed pretty much the as what the Bulls offered, better off without him. |

ariza could go to either portland or Toronto. Bad news for a LA as he provides a great perimeter defensive presence for us. Big Loss! |

Pistons have fired coach Curry in a move I feel is a mistake. He was never going to do anything last season after the Iverson trade, so why fire him already? He basically hasn't had a chance to do anything yet. I do wonder if Dumars knows what he's doing these days - some very questionable happenings are coming out of Detroit and even getting Ben Gordon on board seems a bit odd when they have Rip Hamilton at the 2 spot already. |

Alrighty.... I'll try and analyse the Knicks... Restricted Free Agents: David Lee (PF/C) I'd like us to keep Lee. He's coming off a season where he completely excelled in D'Antoni's system and averaged roughly 18 points and 12 rebounds, while leading the league in double-doubles. That's more than Dwight Howard, who surely averages something like 38 rebounds per. He's one of the best free agents out there, which is probably why someone will overpay and he'll be out of NY. I'd like us to match, though, if it's $10m per year or under. Everyone's saying "clear space for Bron and Bosh!", well I'm saying in all seriousness that I'd rather have Lee at $10m than Bosh at max. I don't rate Chris Bosh at all, and certainly don't think he's worth $8m more than Lee, or whatever the max will start at. Besides, I don't think we'll get LeBron anyways. I'd like to see Lee come back. He's not good on the defensive end (although he's always against someone taller than him, so I guess we can't be sure on his man D to actual PF's) and his outside shooting could improve (but that's taken massive strides in the years), but he's young and he's made great improvements every year. I'd be very happy to see him come in and play PF, with Jordan Hill and Darko covering C, and Hill taking some backup PF minutes. Nate Robinson (PG/SG) He can go. He'll do really well for a winning team at a reasonable price, or a smaller team that just needs some excitement, but I don't like him in a system like D'Antonis. We just drafted a scoring small guard, but this one plays D too, so Nate's job has done. He was frustrating at times but incredibly entertaining, so best of luck to him somewhere else! Unrestricted free agents Chris Wilcox (PF/C) Well, he's going, so no point wasting the time! |

Ron Artest is going to LA and as a result it looks like Ariza and Gortat will be be heading to Houston. Certainly turning into an interesting week in the NBA! |

Artest missed a trick not signing with the Cavs then if he was set on leaving Houston. I dont think the Lakers will repeat - that isnt just desire, I just don't feel it and in today's NBA, repeating seems impossible and hasn't happened since a much better Laker team did it 7 years ago (and even that was dodgy due to the migging vs the Kings in the conf.finals). I think David Lee can be an all star but he has to be on a good team. The Knicks are a joke (still) and should be banned from being allowed an all star until they smarten up a bit. Maybe Detroit could go after him as well? I don't know how much money they have to blow if they're already getting Charlie V and Ben Gordon, but I know they had more money this off-season than anyone else. |

Turkoglu has let Portland down and is signing with Toronto. I dont understand why he wouldn't want to return to Orlando and try to win a ring - to come so close this year, surely he has the hunger to get back and try again? Yet he goes to a team no where close to contending! Maybe he earns a bit more money there but so what? You hear guys say how important a championship is to them, that its every players dream to win one, yet you get guys like Hedo who leave a contender that he was a big part of (its not like he didn't get minutes there) and goes to a mediocre team. The Magic could come out of this ok though, if they can arrange a sign and trade that would bring Marion and possibly 1 or 2 others to Orlando. Marion isn't staying with the Raptors and has had 2 rather failed stins there and in Miami, but he can still play to a high level and just needs to find a good fit...not sure if Orlando will be it though. |

Lee could also end up on the blazers. marion would be an ok fit in orlando as there is a gap at sf and with lewis at pf they would be able to interchange at the positions |
