Boys U17 Regional Tournament is taking place at EIS over the weekend of 11 and 12 Juy, with ten regions represented.

Who won it last year? Who are the favourites this year? Which players should we look out for?

Nope - it's definitely U17s, so 92 born and younger, and further details are on the EB site here:

If its a 92 then London should have a good team, as they should have a lot of Hackney White Heat players who are born in the 92 age groups such as the guard Andre Taylor and Eliandro Inacio but im expecting north to have some 6 ft 10 players who have represented England last year for the 92's, it should be a good tournament but it is on the same days as the Future Stars Tournament in south London (Kingston) so its a bit of a tough one of choosing which one to watch.

All 92's in the U18 squad will be present at Kingston therefore the U17 tournament will have key players missing. Exceptional 93 players are invited to attend.

south east looked good especially the number 7.

Anyone know the actual result ie positioning and finals. as much as i love hearing about the north west all the time, i would have thought theyd done better than sixth.

The tournament programme stated the NW squad had 4 x 92s, 7 x 93s and 1 x 94. I agree they weren't as dominant as NW teams traditionally are, but they did have 8 Magic players in the squad of 12, so at least they were use to playing together.

London, South East and West Mids were clearly the 3 best teams with London worthy winners

Wales did OK and won 2 close games against North East and East Mids

Yorkshire had a young team and several players not playing that probably should have been- they fielded 7 93s and should be better than 10th next year
Feel the (Huddersfield)Heat !
