Absolutely perfect form jump shot has to be Jodie Meeks from Kentucky - lovely shot - good form, wrist snap, follow through, straight up straight down...

Ray Allen is definitely the best to watch in terms of shooting form. He has a nice arc on his shot and good amount of backspin. Joe Johnson is another possibility

Reggie Miller was a GREAT shooter but I certainly wouldn't get kids to copy his form, it wasn't textbook by a long shot.

i'd say mj and maybe in a couple of years lebron........reggie was nearly unstoppable and would be a more pure shooter - and a clutch shooter which makes him really standout like mj......who was the best all time shooter.

IMHO of course.

Ray Allen & JJ Reddick. However, I wouldn't advise any young player to 'copy' the form of NBA players as nearly every shot is off balance and one of the main problems with kids basketball is that they want to shoot the fade-away.

The 'Better Basketball' DVD's are great, JJ Reddick breaks things down.

In my opinion the least important thing when teaching kids to shoot is if they score - Get the form right and then repitition, reptition, repition!

defenitly dont look at LeBron! He tends to fade away on his shots and often appears to be unbalanced. Just look at guys like Ray Allen and Kobe is good as well.
