Last night at the Capitals v Heat game, Guildford turned the ball over 5 or 6 times for travels or illegal dribbling. These mistakes were made my the most experienced of the team members both English and American.

This is something I've noticed throughout the BBL. Is it a sad indictment of our system that the English players shuffle their feet before dribbling. Carrying the ball when dribbling seems to be more a domain of the Americans.

With the Americans I feel it is a gradual deterioration of how the fundamentals are not being instilled in the USA the way they are in Europe. If American kids see the superstars of the NBA getting away with these things then they will copy them.

Does anybody watch their team and despair when one of their top players makes such fundamental mistakes? I do

sitting watching the NBA game on setanta, have already seen one three step dunk and numerous shuffles (uncalled) before the ball hits the floor. And of course the dunk is celebrated and no-one mentions the t word.

just the way it is unfortunately

I have to say that I've now seen three Eagles games this season and my distinct impression is that the Refs are certainly calling more travelling violations and offensive fouls than we normally see.

And before anybody jumps in and says anything about criticism of refs or that Fab always travels can you read the first paragraph again?

I didn't say they were wrong to call them, just that it seems to me that much more than usual were called!!!

That's great as it's the way it should be. That'll get players doing things properly.

I'm just watching a Spanish game from today. Just saw a great dunk, but three steps (not called)!
