Whilst everyone else is busy trying to spot and debate their new signings, it occurs to me that we could keep ourselves amused by looking out for ex-Bullets/Panthers players and even start our own rumour mill.

This is what I can spot at the moment:-

Tony Dorsey - Everton Tigers
Chris Haslam - Everton Tigers
Rob P - Leicester Riders (Player Coach)
Barry Lamble - Leicester Riders
Fab Flournoy - Newcastle Eagles (Player Coach)
Trey Moore - Newcastle Eagles (How long before his ego clashes with Fab remains to be seen!)
Skouson Harker - Worcester Wolves (Player Coach)

Also, Tony G is now coaching the Tigers and coached the Bullets for 1 season. During that season he signed Steve Bucknall who appeared in a few European games - Buck is now apparently coaching Capital (assuming they confirm some signings at some point)

Rumour mill - Daniel Sandell's name has been mentioned on the Riders forum. He's played there before, is based in the Midlands and obviously played with Rob at the Panthers. I heard that Adam was interested in a move to Europe - not so much the chance to earn mega bucks as the idea that if he's going to get paid peanuts it would be good to do it somewhere different to the Midlands. It wouldn't surprise me if LaTarryl turned up in London...

Amazing how successful a training school the Bullets turned out to be. Three player-coaches must be some kind of record!

Just my thoughts on some of the panthers;

I think Lekan will sign with Capital...and maybe Williamz?
Leicester's a possibility for Cameron, LaTaryl, Adam and Daniel.
I don't think Marlon will come back to the BBL.
I think Craig will sign with Everton or not play in the BBL.

We'd all forgotten about Phil Missere who has apparently joined the West Midlands takeover of the Riders. Let's hope he lasts more than 1 game - welcome back Phil!

As I corrrectly predicted, Lataryl has signed for the Riders, having played with Rob last season and Yorick has returned to MKL.

Stephen Barnes has surfaced at Derby, who have also signed England junior internationals Martyn Gayle and Josh Rolls Tyson plus Ruel Gooden. All 4 players have moved from Birmingham Aston Athletics I believe

Stephen Barnes? Not THE Stephen Barnes, as in "the ball's down here between my feet, if only I could get hold of it - it's like a piece of soap; what do you mean 3 seconds ref? I haven't even got hold of the ball yet" Stephen Barnes... Surely not at his age?

He hasn't played for the bullets, but a player that is from Birmingham, is Chris Sanders. One of Herman Wilson's former junior players, now playing for Sheffield.

Yes, the Stephen Barnes. He's not as old as you think, but Jesus he's big !
Five rebounds, four points and three turnovers in 16 minutes against Leopards yesterday. And basically got schooled by a 19-year-old. How he top scored for Derby last week beggars belief.

Despite my joking, Dave, Barnsey did have a real knack of getting the ball into the hoop despite strong defensive pressure and gave sterling performances for a couple of seasons towards the end of the Bullets' life. He certainly had several 15+ nights in a team with very little inside support.

Getting back on D was never his strongest suit, though!

How about Trey and Monstro picking up player and coach of the year awards respectively? And to think, they were once the back-court duo at the Bullets! Good job guys :clap

Team Birmingham Bullets are owned by former Bullets player Neil Nisbet and Chester based businessman Des Williams. Despite the continued efforts of a number of people who have put several obstacles in their way, they are hoping to bring back the glory days of the Bullets and are on the hunt for high quality players from the West Midlands aged 17+.

They are in the process of getting a website designed, launching a range of sportswear and starting an Academy in July that will act as a feeder to the Bullets team but not play in the National League.

Workouts start in July and for more information on the above you can contact Neil on nisbetneil@yahoo.co.uk
