New Sharks head coach Atiba Lyons is currently on a recruitment trip in his native America. Matischen told BBC Radio Sheffield: "We're pretty confident that we'll add one or two Great Britain internationals to the squad. "We'll also bring in two or three top-class Americans," he added.

Sixth Man Posts: 456 Group: Member Member #533 Joined: August 20, 2006	I spoke to Randy George and he told me that he has been given offers in the BBL from Guildford, Scottish Rocks, MK and Sheffield. He said that it's between Rocks and Lions right now. I also got told that Locka may not return because he felt as though there was alot of pressure on him. I think its time for the management at the Sharks to start informing their fans exactly were we are with players resigning and which new players they have managed to sign if any. Positive noises from the management but nothing to show as yet.

The Sharks did promise us signings months ago. Same old story with everything being announced a couple of days before the start of the season. Come on Sharks surprise us. I don't know how you expect to sell more season tickets when so far Atiba is the only announced player.

Pass me my Janet and John reading book again. On the subject of GB internationals I suppose you could try and count Alto Virgil who was at one time named in the GB training squad for the 2007 games. Mind you he didnt get there!!

Chino, in my opinion was a good player, he gave the sheffield team some much needed energy off the bench, which they needed. However, if he was given more minutes, i think he could of been a bit more effective, but never the less, he did a good job i think, 8 ppg and 6 rpg in only 17 mins as a rookie. I think personally the sharks should of retained him cause he is a pretty good athlete, as he will grow into a fine player once he gets the experience. If he did sign with the Rocks, i think thats a good pick up for them.

He did give us energy off the bench and I was hoping he would stay to do the same again next season. I have a feeling that Atiba is going to assemble a good squad of players, maybe Chino just wasn't in his plans.

Only a couple of names mentioned and (some of us) waiting the baited breath as to which 'superstars' will either be returning or leaving and who else we have brought to the club. Nice to know that tradition has not been broken with a nice period of quiet and lack of communication between fans and management. Truth be known it's been that dull in the off-season and so quiet that I totally forgot to come on here. Hope things will soon pick up. See you all soon

We know a few things about some of the players from last season, or at least have a very good idea Atiba Lyons - Staying and upgraded to Player Coach. James Whyte - Staying Alto Virgil - Gone back to Chester Jets Randy George - Gone to Scottish Rocks Nigel V. Oostrum - Leaving for college? Locka Okorie - Not confirmed but surely time is up Jermaine Gonsalves - No offense but it doesn't matter he wont play Nate Neisler - Not confirmed but if staying does he still take up a permit slot? Will Hall - Probably be on the bench Justice Graham - Not confirmed but surely leaving Anthony Virgil - Not confirmed Shelby Chaney - Not confirmed but sounds like he wont be returning If Nate doesn't require a permit slot I'd like him to stay but the Star was promising a guard signing two or three weeks ago. Hopefully more signings will be announced soon.

Atiba has spent his allowence and the Sharks management have said no more money will be available. I also hear that we are signing a British point guard.
