How and when do 1993 boys get involved in the england setup and who are the main competitors so far for a future england place?

The 93s have been in the APCs since Lilleshall last October

The APCs train at least once a month and the England Selection tournament is I believe at Walsall at the end of September

Are u a 93 player?
If so what region?
Players who have necessary skills have been selected from Lilleshall (inter-regional) and if players have missed the process then get your club coach to contact the APC coach and recommend you.

I've always thought Fastfeet was from EP

The north APC was very late getting started due to them struggling to find coaches for it- surely if Fastfeet went to Lilleshall he should have been invited to attend at least the first APC Session (in January)

Where did you hear the APC struggled to find coaches?
This isnt true.
The central coaching staff have been the same for almost three years now.
The chain of command may have changed but the head coaching staff remained.

They did struggle at the start of the season- it's noticeable that Manchester's coaching involvement in the APC seems to be much less this season and I believe the APC is being administered from Yorkshire as well now

Connor Cole is now ex-Wear Valley, having moved to Newcastle Eagles immediately following the APC.

Not sure it's the best move going from U-16 Premier North to U-15 North East Conference if he's trying to secure an England place? :headshake

Don't think there is premier and conference leagues in the under 15's. It just seems to be one league split into areas because North 1 and North 2 have equal ability teams. Think thats right anyway. Probably cause theres not enough teams that play under15's

It seems obvious to me that U-15 in FATBALLER's post was a typo!

Make it "going from U-16 Premier North to U-16 North East Conference" and it makes perfect sense.

Yes, error admitted - no North East Conference at U-15 level - slip of the pen !! :geek

However, Connor has moved from U16 Premier North to (I believe) U15 North 1, (Not U16 in any league) so my point remains the same, I believe he would have benefited more by playing at the higher age group and at the higher level.

Think there's some truth in that but maybe the player thought he'd make a bigger contribution in his own age group

Does the edited squad take into account those cut at the first session ( apparently about six were cut) as it seems to be getting to be a rather large squad.

The London trails must have gone well as quite a few seem to have got into the squad from those. Its a shame all the other 93's didn't also have a individual trial then they all would have got a equal chance to show themselves, rather than whatever court time their coaches gave them at wallsal.
Interesting to find out that the large player spoken about on previous strings didn't attend the first session , although reasons obviously not known.

Perhaps individual trials for all regions and not having Wallsal would be a better way forward especially as 3 regions are looking for APC head coaches acording to the EBA website.

Also interesting to hear that at the 92 trials the players were apparently told that height was not a leading factor in progresssion which is a complete reversal to what the 93's were told at Wallsal.

Not many 94's in the 93 squad this year. Seem to remember about ten 93's being called out a Lilleshall last year to train with the 92's (although only three left in the 92 squad). The majority of the 94's in the 93 squad come from London, is this a result of their individual trial or the fact that they were the only chosen players at Lilleshall this year , although i heard non were chosen at Lilleshal this year.

Refreshing to see that not all the players that represented the 92's last christmas made the squad after the recent trials.

They were the oinly chosen players at Lilleshall- Dominic Norton and Josh Ward-Hibbert (who is also 94 born) were in the squad anyway

The edited squad is what I received this morning

The Camp is at Lea Green in Derbyshire
