ANDREW BETTS AND DANNY LEWIS INK NEW CONTRACTS.. In the ACB, Andrew Betts has renewed his contract with DKV Joventut Badalona for the next season. In the LEB 1, ex-London Towers star Danny Lewis has officially left league rivals Bruesa, and has agreed terms and signed with Palma Aqua Magica to help the team in the promotion challenge. |

Was Murcia promoted to the ACB at the end of last season (I think LEB1 is the league below?)? I would be surprised to see Terrell drop down a division as he was lighting the ACB up a couple of seasons ago. |

Murcia were promoted last season. They finished the league in 3rd but made the final of the playoffs where the top two teams qualify. |

Terrell is Terrell Myers former Sheffield Sharks and London Towers player. Alicante has a team in the ACB. Murcia is about 45 minutes drive away from Alicante and they also have a team in the ACB. |

Etosa Alicante has been in the ACB for a while...but spanish people like basketball and they have a myriad of "minor leagues" such as Leb or Leb II but you can fine pro players also at the 4th level (EBA) and even some regional leagues where they still admit foreign players...they are crazy for basketball!!! |

ACB=Top league in Spain Serie A (Legabasket)=Top league in Italy Pro A=Top league in France Bundesliga I = Top league in Germany Esake A 1 = Top league in Greece LNA = Top League (?!) in Switzerland That's what I know about the names of the leagues in Europe... |

When does Spanish basketball season actually tip off. I will be in Spain for my summer break first two weeks of September, near La Manga. Does anybody know if there is any Spanish activity that time of year in the La Manga area.  |
