Turkoglu has let Portland down and is signing with Toronto. I dont understand why he wouldn't want to return to Orlando and try to win a ring - to come so close this year, surely he has the hunger to get back and try again? Yet he goes to a team no where close to contending! Maybe he earns a bit more money there but so what? You hear guys say how important a championship is to them, that its every players dream to win one, yet you get guys like Hedo who leave a contender that he was a big part of (its not like he didn't get minutes there) and goes to a mediocre team. The Magic could come out of this ok though, if they can arrange a sign and trade that would bring Marion and possibly 1 or 2 others to Orlando. Marion isn't staying with the Raptors and has had 2 rather failed stins there and in Miami, but he can still play to a high level and just needs to find a good fit...not sure if Orlando will be it though. |
