Sixth Man Posts: 485 Group: Member Member #448 Joined: August 7, 2006	The LMBL held its Finals Day and AGM last Sunday, results as follows: Men's Cup Final..... MacPro 84 v 77 HCCA OT (71/71) HCCA just failed to make it a Premier League and Cup Double falling to an overtime defeat to MacPro. Credit to MacPro who twice came back from 10pts behind and stayed in the match thanks to the quality of their 3pt shooting (27pts in treys in te match). HCCA had 2 shots from the line with 1.2sec left in the match to win but could only convert 1 to take the tie into OT. Infact, poor shooting form the line really cost HCCA as they could only convert 9/18.MacPro took the lead with less than 2mins of OT remaining. With HCCA having to foul and send MacPro to the line to regain possession, Macpro's MVP Messir (25pts) held his nerve to close out the match. HCCA ended up with a 22/1 record in all LMBL comps. Women's Cup Final......Wandsworth Sting made it a perfect season beating Eastside Heat by around 15pts. Eastside put up a great battle but Wandsworth pulled away in the final stanza to make it an unbeaten league and cup double. Men's Plate Final......Met Trident 2 (Div 2 Champs) pulled off the second shock of the day beating Div 1 Champs Westminster Warriors in a tight match that went down to the final play. Ladi Brown came up with a massive block on the 3pt buzzer beating attempt to close out the match despite a big Westminster comeback led by veteran BBL star Junior Williams.
