^Link to the trailer.

This movie is going to kick ass. Loved the first one, thought the second one was better. This one looks like it's going to be the best one yet.

I actually cannot wait for this film to come out next year, and there are very few movies that I literally cannot wait to come out.

This film will OWN all.

I've seen the trailer for it twice when I was at the theaters for Superman Returns, and it has my attention despite my indifference to the Spider-Man character.

That's saying something, lol.... But the trailer was very eye-catching.....

I have no idea if this is any good or not. I do know Kirsten Dunsts fug ass is shown almost immediately. She's so alarmingly ugly, it's hard to focus after that, with her little beady black eyes and giant Garbage Pail kid head. I get a cold feeling in my heart whenever I see this mutant, as if a loved one just died. It's like in the movies when the big mean dog sees the devil in human form, and then the big mean dog stops barking and just slowly backs away. I think we're close enough now for me to admit that - on two separate occasions - I've cried after looking at her. It was as if all hope had suddenly died.

Jesus that's harsh

I know she ain't the belle of the ball, but I'd still hit it :yeah:

What's wrong with her? I mean she's not the best looking in Hollywood, but she's far from being the dog that guy describes.

He got you good on that one. You gotta hand him a point with that.

*looks at emoticons*

Ah, you already gave him two. Two fingers to be exact. ;)

Nevermind...:)

Not sure where the extreme Dunst hatred comes from. Probably reminds this reviewer of some GF that dumped him or something.

I think she's above average when filmed right.

Yeah it was kinda funny.

I don't know about the Dunst hatred either, but my mom doesn't think much of her eiether. I've certainly seen far less attractive women, so shit if I know.

too be honest...i feel like they are trying to cap this one off similar to the way x-men was. They needed to go for a 4th and final, or have used sandman in the 2nd and make the 3rd about venom and goblin. This just has too many villains in it.

We'll see how it goes. I feel like with the same director back for this one, it will be light years ahead of the absolutely pathetic excuse for an X3 (which my friends and I refer to as shit...thus, if you have to shit you say you are going to take an "X3")

BTW, I've been reading up on Spider-man, and I've read that as long as everyone wants to come back, they'll do a fourth one. In an interview, Tobey Maguire said that he'd come back if Sam (Raimi) and Kirsten (Dunst) came back. I hope they don't do the whole Venom thing in one shot, because I feel like Venom the character wouldn't be introduced until the end of this one anyway...

I merged the two Spidey3 threads.

This should be an awesome movie, it certainly looks like it will based on the trailer (though that can lead to disappointment).

I look forward to it.

The 2nd era of Y2J has begun
I'm going tomorrow, definetly.

Venom is my all time favorite comic villian, so I wouldn't miss his big screen debut for anything.

Seen it twice. Loved it.

It can be hard to make things work when you have essentially three villains for the hero to interact with in a film, but they managed to tie everything up into a nice, tight bow at the end.

The action/fight scenes kicked ass, as expected. That area has been a great strength in all three of these films.

Anyhow, I'm willing to write a review of it for the main page if you're interested Stinger.

They did make it work, but they probably would have been better served focusing one one (Venom) with the continuing Osborn conflict always running concurrent.

It's pretty simple yet again: If you don't like these Spiderman flicks...then I guess you just don't like good, fun movies. ;)

Weekend Grosses

1) Spider-Man 3 $148 million
2) Disturbia $5.7 million
3) Fracture $3.4 million
4) The Invisible $3.1 million
5) Next $2.7 million
6) Lucky You $2.5 million
7) Meet the Robinsons $2.4 million
8) Blades of Glory $2.3 million
9) Hot Fuzz $2 million
10) Are We Done Yet? $1.7 million

It was a box office beat down unlike any other.

Early Saturday morning, the streets around Santee Alley were lined with Spider-Man 3 bootlegs. You couldn't take more than a couple of steps without having the disc literally thrust into your hands. That didn't stop the film from becoming an undisputed champ at the box office. According to Variety, the film took in $148 million, earning the highest weekend gross of all time. The film has taken the title belt away from past top weekend grosser Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, which only raked in a lame $135.6 Million in 2006.

The sequel also managed to break a bunch of other records. It had the biggest opening day of all time with $59 million. And it had the biggest worldwide opening weekend with $375 million. This news has made Sony very happy. They've all but confirmed the likelihood of multiple future sequels.

Sony's Amy Pascal says, ""There'll be a fourth and a fifth and sixth and a seventh. As many stories as Peter Parker has to tell, we'll do sequels." She did not confirm Sam Raimi's hand in those sequels, nor the continuation of the franchise's current cast list. The studio accredits the film's earning power to its wide-ranging appeal. Not only was it an action fan's dream, but it was also a more family-friendly affair. And a great date movie to boot.

I bet Pirates 3 beats that record, if it doesn't, it's going to come really close.

The Spider-Man series has been awesome, I'd give all of them 4 or more stars. The Pirates series is just as good though, maybe even better, though that may be because I "mark" for Johnny Depp.

In any event, they're raking in way too much money at the Box Office this month.

Just saw it...

Thoughts:

-Sandman was great, as was Venom.

-The "Evil" Peter was just friggin bizarre...all of us were wondering what the hell the director was thinking. I mean did we need 15 mins of goofy dancin spidey???

-The fight scenes were excellant, but I just felt there was something there I didn't like as much as the others.

-The end fight was awesome.

All in all, I would put it in a 3-way tie between all the films, but it certainly wasn't better than the other two.

I think it's a very solid sequel that, if anything, had too much going on for one movie and too many villians at once.

You can always have the whole Osborn thing running in the background. That's personal and carries back to early events in the first movie.

I think they needed to have a movie concentrate on Osborn and maybe the Sandman stuff and then you have part 4 be nothing but the black suit/Venom saga.

^^ Despite this, I think they pulled it all off rather well.
