Meh. Only matches I'd really want to see is the Cage/Angle match and the X-Division match. The rest of the card looks like the typical joke. |

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Kurt Angle appeared on WOCM in Ocean City, MD this morning for five minutes. During the interview, Angle said he has been clean from pain pills for about two years now and said he made more money for WWE than any wrestler over the past six years. Angle then went onto say that he likes TNA more than WWE because it's more of a wrestling show than a circus act. In what was the most interesting comment during the interview, Angle stated that he is going to start soon with the EliteXC (Elite Xtreme Combat) MMA group and that he will be doing both wrestling and MMA. Seeing as Angle has been known to say some pretty outlandish comments in the media in the last few months, we have no confirmation that he is actually going to work for EliteXC at this time. LMMFAO! Kurt thinks TNA is more wrestling? WTF ever....I'd say both have equal amounts of crap. According to PWInsider, the new "concept match" that TNA will reveal during its two-hour primetime special this Monday night (February 12) is believed to involve something of a scaffold style match. This new match will debut at the company's Destination X PPV on March 11. Oh crap! Last time there was a scaffold match....Hawk almost fell to the arena floor when they didn't secure the scaffold rail, and Jim Cornette blew out both knees after falling to the ring. I have the feeling someone's gonna get hurt. |

^^ Agreed with all of this. Interesting to think about that MMA and WWE working together story in the context of this item. |

Wow, all the talented X Division guys they have and they think they have to do some stupid scaffold match that involving some insane bump that will almost certainly put someone on the shelf for a few months. God, is it THAT friggin hard to book this roster effectively. Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, and Sting = Only options TNA has as credible world champions at this point in terms of name value, and the only guys who should be booked to look stronger than everyone else until other guys can be brought to their level. AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Rhyno, Scott Steiner, Christian, Raven (if he's healthy) and Abyss, = Upper mid card guys and next to last match guys, good for main event pushes sometimes but not really appropriate at this time for any kind of elongated run at the top. With the exception of maybe Daniels or Styles, but they need a few credible wins under their belt before they can be at the Joe/Angle/Sting level again. Jeff Jarrett can go fuck off. Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Petey Williams, Jay Lethal, Senshi, Jerry Lynn Sonjay Dutt Austin Auries and whatever other indy guys the sign in the future = Your X Division. Don't book them into dumbass comedy skits. Just LET THEM WRESTLE.... perhaps even in REGULAR FUCKING WRESTLING MATCHES... and you'd be surprised what you might get. LAX, Team 3D, AMW and whoever else is left from the decent tag division TNA used to have = of course, the tag team division. Book division in a way that makes the titles the be all end all of TNA. I don't care that Bubba Rays distant cousin was attacked.. Fuck Bubba and everyone who smells like him. Things like this diminish title value. Finally, your Eric Youngs, Robert Roodes, and Sharkboys make up the comic relief and resident jobbers of the roster. Don't give them angles that involve multi episode cliffhangers that get equal time with the main storylines. That's fucking stupid. Use them selectively and in a way where we won't be sick of them from one week to the next. Christy Hemme, So Cal Val, Tracee and Gail Kim = TITTIES... BIG FLOPPY TITTIES... Book them in a way where we can see them bounce up and down. Gosh... [/ Lance Storm mode] |
