MORE MATCHES TO BE ANNOUNCED

Snowman's Original Post

Tickets for this year's WWE New Years Revolution pay-per-view will be going on sale on December 2nd. The event will take place January 7, 2007 at the Kemper Arena in Kansas City. Tickets will be priced at $175 for ringside and will go down to $20.

-The WWE is just out of their f'n minds if they think that anyone will buy this...Who the hell would pay money to see this, when the match it has become known for, the EC, is now on ECW's ppv?!

as of right now the only match announced is Umaga vs. Cena and that's enough for me to be busy doing something else that night!

Animal...nice to see you posting...

Agreed...

The saving grace could be some huge blowoff match b/t DX and Rated-RKO...

it's good to be back...

if i was booking new year's revolution I would book it as so...

Obviously, Umaga vs. Cena is your main event, so to build around that I would go as follows...

DX vs. Rated RKO - (Some type of gimmick match, cage, hardcore, even I quit or an Ironman Tag match could be entertaining...)

and I would also have Rated RKO drop the titles and have a Ladder Match for the tag titles with Crime Time, MNM, and the Hardy's...that would be a money match and I would be entertained by it...and if TWGTT is reformed they could be involved as well

just my opinion though

I agree 100% with that, I say give the tag titles to the Hardy's.

Just to even out the card a bit, what if you had a ladder match b/t the Hardys and MNM for the tag titles and then a separate tag match b/t Cryme Tyme and TWGTT, which I actually think we'll see...

Works for me.

I'm not completely sold on Cryme Tyme in the ring yet, but TWGTT being back together is gold and those two guys could really help CT along.

I agree Cryme Time is new...but they have had some pretty decent matches, but the calibur of their opponents aren't up to the level of Hardy's, TWGTT, and MNM...so I think with better opponents Cryme Time would do very well...

This would be the card I'd run:

WWE Championship:
John Cena © vs. Umaga

Some sort of Gimmick:
Degeneration X vs. Rated RKO

WWE Tag Team Championship - Ladder Match:
The Hardy Boyz © vs. MNM

Tag Team Championship Number One Contenders Elimination Match:
Cryme Tyme vs. Cade/Murdoch vs. Highlanders vs. Worlds Greatest Tag Team

Intercontinental Championship:
Chris Masters © vs. Carlito

Women's Championship:
Mickie James © vs. Victoria

Ken Doane vs. Super Crazy

Ken Doane vs. Super Crazy

Great card...but I think it should be Ric Flair vs. Kenny (Ken Doane)

Well, at this point, it looks like this will be the card:

Umaga vs. Cena
Rated-RKO vs. DX
Hardy vs. Nitro in a cage
Mickie vs. Victoria
TWGTT vs. Cryme Tyme
Kenny vs. Flair
Carlito vs. Masters

Now, while a few of those matches could be hit or miss, I think this PPV has some serious potential based on the build-up, which I think has been very good. The top four matches mentioned have all gotten some really good hype...

It still sounds like a kinda lackluster card....Umaga should never have be in the main event, they should add a gimmick to the tag match, it just seems to me like it's a glorified episode of Monday Night Raw. Smackdown at least put some twist on their matches and made them entertaining.

I'm marking over the cage match. Both these men work great together, and I really want to see how they take it in the steel cage.

Hardy and Nitro work well together, and if it is booked right will absolutely steal the show...however, I don't see this match being booked properly, I see them making a typical match with one high spot near the end...

Snow and Animal...NICE...

They are having Judgment Day in STL...I might go depending on the card. If it's a Batista-Taker HIAC...I'll go...

As NYR, I think Hardy and Nitro will get a chance to steal the show. They've always gotten a lot of time for their bigger matches (unforgiven got 17-18 minutes and their ladder match on Raw got close to 20 as well)...That and the Dx-Rated-RKO match should be make this PPV watchable)

This PPV actually looks pretty good. Not good in that 'HOLY SHIT MUST BUY ! MUST BUY! MUST BUY!' kind of way, but good in the I'll probably download it or catch the replay kind of way.

Cena/Umaga - despite some shitty moments has been solidly built fued, and if Umaga must headline a PPV, I'd rather it be a little one like this rather than one of the big four.

DX/RKO is not exactly the most original thing out there but these guys have been working well together in building interest in the fued., and, in the end I believe this whole thing will be settled in some big time singles matches ( with any combination of the four), either at the Royal Rumble, or possibly even Wrestlemania, so these main event tag matches are fine for now.

Hardy/Nitro in a cage should be sick.

Mickie James vs. Victoria is about as good of a women’s main event as you’ll find right now on Raw.

Masters and Carlito have had a pretty interesting rivalry building up since before this point of last year and work well together.

Kenny is prime for a big push it seems, and who in the hell has ever been better at elevating rising superstars than Ric f’n Flair? Seriously, name me one person who is honestly better at it, now or ever, and I’ll perform felatio on you whilst standing on my head.

Like I said, not a Wrestlemania worthy card by any means, but on paper it definitely has the potential to turn into a damn good little PPV.

Anyone watching this tonight besides me?

I think it has the potential to be a solid PPV...there's not any match that should suck (like a Boogey match)
