Chalk this up as just a funny story:
First off, I seriously doubt ANYONE at WWE had ANYTHING to do with this, as TNA houseshows don't draw that big of crowds, hell they had a hard time selling tickets to BFG. With that said, if you've read the spoilers for the primetime debut of Impact, then this is just too damn funny. So much for "firing the first shot" when you aren't even allowed to step in the big dogs yard. The whole thing makes TNA seem completely bush league  |

I agree why would WWE want to stop a house show. WWE is probably laughing at them for thinking that lol |

It's sad that there are so many morons (read TNA marks) out there that think anyone from WWE would waste their time to sabotage an event that only drew no more than 800 people, to the point where WWE has to address the issue:
Naturally, TNA had video cameras there and encouraged/filmed a "Fuck Vince McMahon" chant. I'd put money that TNA had the event canceled, if anyone did, just to run some stupid angle that will go no where. |

The whole WWE vs. Us thing that TNA continually tries to do is just so damn retarded. WWE is a pretty well liked (or at least not a hated) entity to most mainstream wrestling fans, and all TNA does by driving this wedge between the E and them, is further isolate themselves from ever having a chance to compete nationally (let alone internationally). They are trying to look good by stepping over WWE, but the sad fact is that their legs are far too short to accomplish that, now or ever. Perhaps if they weren't such little bitter, arrogant jackasses then the two companies could co-exist peacefully, and we could have a good healthy competition that would be beneficial to BOTH parties instead of the classic 'Let's drive option B into the ground so we can be the be all end all'.. bullshit that's been going on for decades now. The old school territory leaders realized it was better to have a working relationship with the leaders of other territories (before VKM put the kibosh on that system).. and out of that communication came a system that produced some of the best wrestling that ever existed. Nowadays though, it's just so cut-throat that and business like that the fun of what wrestling used to be is almost completely vanished. Fuck that. With all this in mind though, while this report is probably false I wouldn't doubt WWE trying to stop TNA from running in 'their back yard'... Remember this is the same company that pretty much killed off that short lived ECW reunion tour 'Hardcore Homecoming', because it infringed on their intellectual copyrights. Even though it was the brainchild of Todd Gordon and most the performers on his show that is, and wasn't in any way detracting from WWE business. WWE's legal team is a vicious lot. If they were legally allowed to do so I wouldn't put it past them to hold public executions for all those who post WWE copyrighted material on the Internet. I mean, dammit, those assholes are STEALING from Vincent Kennedy McMahon. |

I agree with the notion that TNA themselves had something to do with it. Probably got Kurt Angle to do it(I'd venture to guess that most of America probably thinks he's still in good standing with WWE since no one watches TNA), hence where the cop told them that they had competitors up there. 800 people at a house show is horrible, you don't waste time stopping a show that is going to lose your "compitition" money. I've been to countless high school basketball games that had more fans than this show, and many with about twice as many fans. TNA reeks of middle child syndrome: LOOK AT ME!!! I'M HERE!!! PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!! *breaks lamp* |

lol This has TNA BULLSHIT written all over it, the events were canceled by TNA themselves, I have no doubts about that. [doHTML][/doHTML] Same old shit. This, along with the blatant BS that those two say on Thursday, is a huge mistake. It does nothing, and it leads no where. It doesn't build a feud up, and nothing is going to come from it. It's a waste of air time that could be showing how they're different, not openly shouting that we're number 2. Worry about your own shitty product, because WWE doesn't give a rats ass about the spec in Orlando. Hell, even when WCW became a threat, they were drawing over a thousand people for house shows and were having better than .8 ratings. It's not going to lead to the war that TNA is hoping for, it's not going to increase their ratings in the long run. Then again, maybe the best thing for everyone except TNA would be for Vince to get pissed off one more time. |

TNA are just idiots for doing that, if WWE wanted to they would have crushed them ages ago. |
