Damn...that was a really good ladder match... I wish they would've advertised that...I might've ordered the show had that been on the original card... |

Very entertaining night. Only match that sucked was, as expected, Miz/Boogeyman. Thankfully, it was short. Pictures will have to wait, my battery was dying. |

MVP's ass was on fire! I really enjoyed the show. I'd say Snow's listing of how good the matches/segments were on page one about hit the mark. They did what they could with the Inferno Match. It was a solid showing by both guys, and something to behold live, just three rows from a flaming ring...... The ladder match was awesome; what a treat it was to get MNM and the Hardyz added to the match....I turned to Sand when TRL walked out, and asked him if he thought that was what Long was gonna do....sure enough.... Miz/Boogeyman was mercifully short, thank God...... Benoit/Chavo was good....they didn't completely light the house on fire, but it was a nice match and fun to see The Crippler get the win..... Helms/Yang was solid....some nice high spots and a good finish..... The Last Ride Match was pretty good.....had some really sickening chair shots, Taker's bump from the top of the stage to the floor, and Kennedy getting chokeslammed and Tombstoned on top of the hearse.....great effort by both guys, and Taker's still the man.... The Diva lingerie contest was okay...it didn't take up too much time, and we had some beautiful ladies.....Jillian Hall is put together, I tell you what.....and who can resist Ashley, lol.... The main event was probably what you'd rate as an average tag match, but it was just fun to have Batista and Cena out there tagging up. That was the whole premise, and it delivered in that aspect....the crowd was so hot all night, and it got hotter with that match..... Also, we got to see that Russian dude, Oleg Prudius, in a dark match before the pay-per-view. He beat up on Scotty 2 Hotty.....he played a Russian soldier gimmick......finishing move was a Torture Rack where he dropped to his knees and jammed the hell out of Scotty's spine... Fun night. Sand took 260 (yes, that's right) pictures......we also got our souvenir chairs, some nice padded ones with Batista on the Armageddon logo.....good stuff... This event has kind've re-lit my fire as a wrestling fan.... |

Oh yeah (and I know I'm double-posting, but so what), I forgot to touch on crowd reactions and such.... Top pops were Cena and Batista.....I'd maybe give Batista the slight edge, since Cena had some dissenters in the crowd (although any stray boo birds were easily drowned out by the loud-ass face pops he was receiving). The place liked to have shook when Big Dave came out, though......I tell you what, two years after they faced off at the end of the 2005 Royal Rumble match, they are still the two most popular guys in WWE I think (though I'm sure D-X is right there with them of course). Undertaker's pop was up there with Cena and Batista's. And I'd say the Hardyz were right behind that, because the Coliseum exploded when their music hit. After that, Kane and Benoit were up there..... Heel heat was close between a lot of guys....Kennedy got a good deal, so did Chavo, Booker and Finlay. MNM and MVP had a decent amount as well. The arena itself was packed. They had one area tarped off, which was the very back part close to the stage on the upper concourse (above the hard camera and boom camera). The floor was packed, the lower concourse was packed, the upper concourse was filled in aside from that one area I just mentioned, and the 300's (which are located way at the top on the long ends of the arena) were sold as well. I haven't seen this many people at a WWE show in Richmond for at least five years or so. |

During his match at Armageddon, Joey Mercury was rushed from the arena and to a nearby hospital after one of the ladders smashed him in the face and caused his nose to pour blood. After examination, it was announced that Mercury had suffered a broken nose, which required four stitches to the inside and 14 on the outside of the nose. According to the doctors, Mercury's nasal passage is all clear and he should be alright. |

I knew that man was fucked up....he caught it good, then he was lying on the mat face-down near the corner closest to where we were sitting....he looked up, and he was gushing with a face that was already puffy and swollen.... They showed another shot of his face from when he was being helped to the back, and.....good God....... |

Yeah, after watching the ladder match, I'm sold on buying the DVD. Sounded like a great event (especially considering it's Armageddon of all things). I think WWE was trying to make up the for the let down, "we want a refund" craptacular that was December to Dismember. Watching the ladder match and reading the results, I think they did that. I still won't order another one until Rumble though, even though Nitro/Hardy in a cage is tempting. |

Damn, poor Joey Mercury. That sucks. Seems like a decent PPV overall, considering especially that it's a SD PPV. There's a couple of obvious matches there that should never have seen the light of day under any circumstances, let alone a PPV. |
