It'll be worth a download or catching on another Joe DVD or a TNA Angle DVD, that much is sure.

It's not enough to make me order the DVD of Genesis though, like I thought it would be.

Glad I didn't pay to see that though, because I would've been pissed.

You don't hype a match like that and then give it 13 minutes, when you still have 20 minutes left.

LMAO!

Sting and Abyss wrestle a normal singles match, yet use steel chairs, thumbtacks and barbed wire tables.

Sting hits the referree, and is then... wait for it... DQ'ed!!!

And since the NWA World Championship can change hands on a DQ (except for when Jarrett gets DQ'ed), Abyss is the NEW NWA Champion.

Nevermind the fact that he was made to look weak by tapping out to Kurt Angle, tapping out to Sting during the match, and getting his ass handed to him by a 40+ year old man, he still gets the title put on him because of a DQ.

 LMAO! Welcome back Vince Russo ;)

And Kurt Angle makes Samoa Joe TAP in 13:33!

Wow. Unbelievable. And to think I said I would pay $15 for the DVD. Seriously, after all the hype, "The Dream Match of the Decade" only gets 13:33 and ends with Angle making the unbeatable monster tap out? What a way to put over your homegrown superstar.

"WWE is far superior than us"... that's what having Kurt Angle defeat Samoa Joe in 13 minutes says.

Fuck TNA. If Joe is a little bit smart, he'll take the WWE payoff and jump the first chance he gets.

Un-fucking-believable.

I hate to say I told y'all so.....but you already know.....and it will not be the last time I scream it from the rooftop. TNA SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would you bring back Russo? Did they suddenly forget his WCW years? Abyss as champion?! That's gonna make me wanna watch

And a 13 minute match between Angle and Joe....wow, even the boogeyman got 10 mins at Wrestlemania!!!!!

I couldn't be less surprised.

I'm just reading Stinger's posts in reaction to this thing and...is anyone here really surprised?

TNA is shit. You got another glowing example of it last night.

If Joe or anyone else is smart, they need to get the hell out of there.

Except for health and schedule, and I'm really being charitable there...I still think Angle is completely nuts to be even be in this bush league, half assed circus.

I know some of you guys are super hardcore wrestling fans and support Indies and all that, but how much more charity are you going to throw this trash? It's not going anywhere, except down.

TNA is an insult to any self respecting wrestling fan. Stinger's quoted post above says it and all and proves it.

Too bad I don't have access to it :(

TNA just makes me so mad though, only because of the potential they have. With their roster, they could be the best wrestling product on TV, hell they could almost rival ROH. But they don't, not even close.

The best thing for TNA, would be to get rid of Russo and find a way to get Paul Heyman at some point.

Let's look at the guys TNA has gotten that was with WWE from 2003-present:

Kevin Nash, Billy Gunn, Christian Cage, Rhino, Kurt Angle, The Dudley Boyz (all 3 of them), Gail Kim, Christy Hemme, Jackie Gayda and I'm probably forgetting one or two.

Now people who were with TNA from 2003-present who are now with WWE:

Jeff Hardy, Sabu, Monty Brown, CM Punk, Mr. Kennedy, Brian Kendrick, Paul London, Vito, The Gymini, Mickie James, Trinity, Ariel (and this isn't even including the guys in OVW or DSW that were with TNA).

TNA got mostly old guys or older guys, WWE got mostly younger people.

Punk was treated pretty bad in TNA, part of the reason he left and decided to work for ROH, and Kennedy was brought in and jobbed out a few times and was deemed "not good enough" and was sent on his way after about 2 maybe 3 matches.

It's only a matter of time before the shit hits the fan for TNA, and that'll be Joe and Daniels leaving. I think it'll take longer to get Styles to leave.

And they never will short of foundations being completely wiped out and reset.

Last days WCW.

This is last days' WCW all the way right now, right down to Vince Russo being back.

The shit has been hitting the fan for many months, Stinger. I've posted it on this forum but I know you've seen the news where ratings haven't improved at all even with Kurt Angle and the overhype.

I hope Daniels and Joe both leave ASAP so we can just get this over with.

Here's the news off of that prime time Impact special they had last week:

Quote:

Kurt Angle's jump to TNA proved ineffective as a quick ratings fix for the promotion. Wrestling fans should chalk up the move to a primetime slot under that same category, as this week's rating hardly saw an increase.

Despite heavy hype (including a major blitz during last Saturday's The Ultimate Fighter finale) for the two-hour special, it only drew a 1.0 rating according to WrestlingObserver.com.

While the number is up a bit from the show's recent average in the 11PM hour, and thus cannot be considered a total negative, it's still a disappointing figure for TNA.

The lack of a ratings surge in response to Angle's signing and the primetime move indicates that neither talent nor timeslot is a huge factor in TNA's ratings. It indicates that nothing inherent about TNA's position is "holding down" the ratings—the 1.0 figure represents all present interest in the product.

Exactly right.

TNA will therefore have to win over a larger portion of the casual wrestling audience before it can compete with WWE in the ratings battle.

Many fundamental changes would need to happen first, from the foundation on up.

Well, I just watched the Sting vs. Abyss match...Meh, good garbage brawl until the overbooked finish. (**3/4)

I can't disagree with anything anyone has said. They definitely have the talent on that roster, but their booking decisions continue to defy logic. TNA marks can adore this crap all they want, and I'll likely continue to give it about 2 chances per year. In February, I thought they were on the right track with Christian as champ and the emergence of Joe...but frankly, Joe should be in WWE as a top heel. Daniels and Styles aren't going to get over with WWE...they are two small and have no hope...TNA is their one chance..

Yes, they do have some nice talent, but it's DOA out the door because of this and pretty much every other basic fundamental and core foundation that you need is fatally flawed in this company.

Did you even write that with a straight face? Say it to yourself: Christian as champ. Christian as champ.

LOL!

Hmmm...nice!

Then they are sadly doomed unless they try to go to ROH or something like that.

By the way: ROH is far more of a viable competitor of WWE in terms of demographics and ratings any day of the week vs. this trash, and rightfully so.

ROH kicks ass. TNA can't tie its shoes.

I've never even seen an ROH show...i'm working on that...

They have their base, according to what Stinger has said, to the point that they don't even feel they need TV...

Alright, bout to watch Styles vs. Christian...EDIT- really good match with kind of a shady finish. (***1/2)

I wonder how you would feel about that if you had actually wasted money on it? ;)

I second that.

It's true, it's damn true.

There's a reason ROH fans chant "Fuck TNA", it's because unlike TNA's slogan of "We Are Wrestling", ROH actually delivers.

ROH IS WRESTLING!!! ;)
