Posted Image Posted Image Well, after the success of the first two ECW One Night Stand PPVs, the WWE has to have high hopes for the third one. I'll snap them back to reality, though, and remind them that ECW DTD is sandwiched in b/t Survivor Series the week prior and Armageddon two weeks later. That's ridiculous... However, ECW does have a chance to be a success...but they'll need help...there's no way in hell they can expect to have a decent buyrate without WWE talent...especially when it's only a week removed from one of the Big Four. This is what I propose... ECW December to Dismember Extreme Rules: ECW Champion Big Show vs. RVD - It's coming...it can be hyped and built up during the tri-brand elimination match at SS by having those two cost the ECW team the victory. RVD would win the title back in the main-event, it's their biggest match right now, and SHow would go get some much-needed rest. DX vs. Tommy Dreamer and Sandman - It doesn't have to be those two ECW guys, but I think if DX is going to be involved in the tri-brand war (as they should be since they are so high up that card), then they ought to get booked and have a match against some ECW guys. Extremes Rules: Jeff Hardy vs. Sabu - When he was in TNA, a few people called Hardy the next Sabu. Put them against each other, put the IC title on the line, and let them go wild! TV Title Tournament Final: CM Punk vs. Mike Knox - This feud has been building for awhile and each of them has been on TV nearly every week since thier debuts. Thus, I think putting the TV title on Punk, as he goes over Knox, would be a good thing for the ECW brand. Punk could then wrestle anyone he wants...as the TV champ, there'd be a major match every week. Test vs. Hardcore Holly - This can be a PPV match, and under extreme rules, it could be a damn good PPV match. They are already feuding, so it's just a matter of keeping their one-on-one confrontation held off until the PPV. After that, simply add some more matches that can excite the ECW crowd. Book Balls in a match...get CW on there...maybe even throw a SD vs. ECW match on the card... |

^^ I'd glady watch a card like this, but that sandwich job between PPVs has me thinking this will be afterthought fodder all the way instead. |

I decided to use my imagination on this one. For the record all matches are to be contested under Extreme Rules gaurenteeing us the most bang for our buck as possible. Hardcore Battle Royal to crown the new ECW TV Champ: (including some one night only special surprise entrants) The final three men will then sqaure off in a three way dance for the belt. Mike Awesone, Masato Tanaka, Tajiri, Nunzio, Tony Mamaluke, CW Anderson, Al Snow, Danny Doring, Roadkill, Stevie Richards, Nova, Blue Meanie, Rene Dupree, Shannon Moore, Super Crazy, and Too Cold Scorpio. Final Three: Super Crazy, Tajiri and Scorpio. Winner and new TV Champ: Super Crazy. Kevin Fertig vs Balls Mahoney:Since you're doing the Christmas theme here I'd have Balls come out in his old Santa garb complete with a red sack full of hardcore toys. The end result should be a short weapons brawl. The winner here doesn't matter, just let it be a fun WWE style hardcore brawl. Some kind of interpromotional diva contest in which much T&A gets displayed. Mike Knox and Matt Stryker vs Sandman and Tommy Dreamer: Team ECW vs the two newbs. The history is already established for the most part. The end result should be Team ECW prevailing and then dousing beer all over Kelly Kelly's top whilst massive christmas celebrations occur. CM Punk vs Chris Benoit:Punk has been running rampant through the ECW roster with sqaush matches galore. Now it's time for him to prove himself against an established ECW alumnist. The match would kick all forms of ass for sure and should be given as much time as needed. Winner: Doesn't matter as long as Punk comes out looking like a contender. Sabu vs. Jeff Hardy:I'd book it similar to Sabu vs Rey from ONS. Lots of fast paced action ending in some incredibly risky manuever that requires one or both men to be stretched out. Somebody had better gimme a good balcony dive in this one as well. Hardcore Holly vs Test: Never thought I'd wish to see this match but it would at least make sense. I'd have this be a more traditionally paced match but with both guys gigging hard and bleeding a few buckets worth of blood in the ring. Winner: Hardcore Last Man Standing Match: Big Show vs RVD: They've been pushing this one for a while now and this is how I would end it. Have them go toe to toe in a LMS match. The way the match would go down would be to have them both unleash their most violent and devestating manuevers on one another in rapid succession. Lots of gigantic power moves from Show like Chokeslams through tables and whatever else he could think to do to incapacitate the smaller RVD. On the other hand this kind of match would perfectly suit Van Dam as his normaly spotty routine would now make sense in the confines of these conditions. He could whip out all his old school offense like huge dives, van terminators and the end result would be one hell of an entertaining match. Basically, just make it one giant spotfest. Giant move after giant move and then use the ten count period to rest up a little in between the huge spots. At the end of the match Paul Heyman can either get a Van Terminator from RVD, or a chokeslam from Show and the fans go home happy. Winner and new champ: RVD |

I like the card...HOWEVER....I would make it CM PUNK coming out the TV champ....let him have a long run with it, and at Wrestlemania have it be CM Punk vs RVD title vs title! |

I'd have to believe this thing is going to have to have some kind of crossing over and help from either RAW and/or SD to fill out this card. |

Me too...they can't expect people to pay 40 bucks the week after paying 40 bucks for Survivor Series and just use the ECW talent. It took the WWE brands a year and 3 months to be able to build their rosters up to the capability of pulling off a single brand PPV. ECW has had 6 months...they aren't ready... Holly vs. Test has been done on TV...most of the current feuds have been done to death, and only RVD vs. SHow and Mike Knox vs. CM Punk have been built well enough to make it to PPV... Both those matches should be on the ECW PPV in December... Outside of those, though, you gotta search for big matches... IMO, you need two interbrand matches, at the very least... Stemming from the Survivor Series fallout, you could simply use Booker T and John Cena... Booker T vs. Sabu? John Cena vs. The Sandman? |

Boy, you said it. $40 is a rip off in general, anyways, but for this stuff? It's past even laughable, especially with a timeline like that. It's nuts.
They're gonna have to do something like that. Honestly: I think they should abandon this idea, at least for this year. |

At an ECW show today in Milwaukee, Wis., ECW’s “Messiah” Paul Heyman declared that Rob Van Dam will, in fact, receive his ECW World Title opportunity at December to Dismember. However, Heyman also made the monumental announcement that RVD’s title match will take place in the first-ever Extreme Elimination Chamber. RVD earned his chance at the championship last week in a Ladder Match and, as announced on ECW.com earlier this week, Van Dam selected ECW’s next pay-per-view on Dec. 3 as the setting for his title opportunity. However, the stipulations for that contest fall under Heyman’s own judgment. Thus, ECW World Champion Big Show will defend his gold against five other Extremists within the lethal chamber structure. In addition to the Extreme Giant and RVD, the remaining four participants will be determined through a series of qualifying matches that will take place over the next few weeks – the first of which can be seen Tuesday night on ECW on Sci Fi. The only thing more dangerous than the chamber itself will be the throng of hardcore competitors enclosed in its massive walls. Who will qualify for this unprecedented encounter? Exactly what awaits RVD, Big Show and the other Extremists at December to Dismember? Tune in to ECW on Sci Fi to learn more about this unique and extreme event and be sure to catch December to Dismember on Dec. 3 on pay-per-view. WWE.com This way, they don't have to put the title on RVD, since apparently Vince doesn't want to put it on him anymore. Show vs. RVD vs. Sabu is pretty much a lock, but who gets the other spots? Just to up the quality of the match, I want CM Punk in there. |

I think it's more a case of needing a hook to get people to buy the event just one week after Survivor Series...I wouldn't be at all surprised to see RVD still win the belt...This would just provide him a more impressive platform on which to do it... RVD vs. Big Show vs. Sabu vs. Test vs. Hardcore Holly vs. Sandman would be my call... I'd still run Punk vs. Knox...It may be too soon to put Punk in a title match. He'd up the quality, but what about the rest of the PPV. Knox and Punk have a solid feud going, and word has it that they've been having good house show matches. I think it's time to pull the Foley card, as well. Maybe have an up and comer like Dupree challenge him... Bring Benoit over for a special match... That'd give you four hyped matches, one main selling point that ought to be good a buyrate upward of 180,000... Then, supplement w/ whatever. Not every match has to be hyped...They can do CW Anderson vs. Dreamer...Bring in Tajiri and Crazy for a match w/ Guido and Mamaluke... Good stuff, ECW |

Here's your hook:
My picks: RVD, Show, Punk, Sabu, Holly, Test. Bring Benoit over since they're going to start sharing house shows with SD anyways. Have Benoit come over as a guest to either do some crazy ECW style match with Chavo ( this would look great on this card) or someone else. After that, everyone came up with some good ideas in this thread. |

^^Yeah, I just found this on LoP and was about to post it here.
^^ Only thing I'd change on that is Punk with Dreamer. I think Punk would better suited for a nice, simple singles match. |

Well, I'm sure anyone on this board could book a respectable undercard for that event' Some could probably even book supercards using only the roster WWE has right now. But knowing them, the under card for this event is probably going to be a train wreck. |

^^Yes, that would be even better :D
Oh yes, no doubt. Sure, the chamber is going to be a good match, but yeah, if you put 60% of the brand's mid/upper card in one match, we'll then we've got a problem with the rest of this card. |

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Sylvester Terkay, Elijah Burke, Daivari and The Great Khali will all be moved from Smackdown to ECW. Daivari competed at the ECW TV tapings last night in Milwaukee, WI that will air tomorrow night on Sci Fi. |

Well, the ECW PPV has really started off its build up with a bang by having this Extreme Elimination Chamber...and now that all participants are confirmed, you have to wonder what else they will offer up. Is there still going to be some cross promotion? I think we may see some, but if you look Survivor Series, it features just one ECW star (mike Knox) not in the EEC. Knox, though, has an easy storyline against one of his opponents at the fall classic...Jeff Hardy. Here's what I think we could see... Extreme Elimination Chamber for the ECW World Title: Big Show © vs. RVD vs. Sabu vs. Test vs. Bobby Lashley vs. CM Punk - Could be, with the potential crowd heat and extreme environment, the most entertaining EC match yet. PREDICTION: RVD and Punk team up to take out Test...and then Big Show to Heyman's surprise. Show gets mad and chokeslams both through a table. Lashley pins Punk. RVD makes a miracle comeback and has Lashley beat, only to be screwed by Heyman. Lashley wins the title and shakes Heyman's hand. The Sandman vs. Hardcore Holly - Holly's push as one of Heyman's guys suggest he'll in a big match on the card. Sandman seems a likely candidate tto face him. IC Champion Jeff Hardy vs. Mike Knox - Storyline is easy...Have Kelly Kelly take a quick glance at Hardy during the SS main-event. Tommy Dreamer vs. Daivari (w/ Great Khali) - Seems a logical match considering the way their match last night ended... The FBI vs. Heyman's Security Team - They've run this on house shows for months...time to get it on PPV... Rene Dupree vs. Al Snow - I can see this being the kind of match that gets added at the very last minute or is unannounced... Kevin Thorn vs. Balls Mahoney - Thorn should be on the card, imo, so put him against an ECW original... |

This thing NEEDS to have some cross promotion. If they turn Lashley heel, I could even see the blowoff match against Batista maybe even happening at this thing. Who knows? |
