I've seen some small discussions regarding this film in some RAW threads, so I figured I'd give it its on thread. I like blood and guts in a movie, hell my favorite movies are historical war epics. Those kinds of movies are done with a purpose though, and has to be violent because the wars were downright brutal. Movies like Hostel, just judging by the trailer, seems to be all torture with no plot. Just another bullshit movie to give some sick person some new ideas. Anyone here, and I know Q and Snow don't, care to see this crap? What a way to start the new year <_< |

If I wanna watch a movie with blood and guts, I'll watch Saving Private Ryan, Braveheart, Gladiator, Black Hawk Down...etc. Blood and Guts that has a purpose. This seems more like a snuff film, and it honestly just goes to show you how twisted this world has become. And if I wanna see a movie about Americans backpacking through Europe and sleeping in Hostels, ILL WATCH EUROTRIP! At least it doesn't make me wanna vomit. |

No thanks, I'll pass. I'll stick to Silence of the Lambs, at least that had a plot. |

This looks like yet another smut film. These ultra nasty films are starting to become all too common. 2006 isn't off to a great start, in terms of movies, if this is any kind of indicator. |

Basic jist of it is....twisted rich guys pay big bucks to torture and murder people. An Organiztion in Slovakia, are paid handsomly to provide people for this "experiance". An in this case it is american tourists. Who the fuck comes up with this stuff? And the twisted part is, people are going to pay money to watch torture....man, if anyone ever questioned whether or not their is evil in the world...this is a clear cut example. You have to be twisted to enjoy this stuff. |

Agreed there. And it was confirmed either this morning or yesterday afternoon that the sequel "Hostel 2" has a green light. Unreal. |
