I'm not posting this on the main page, because it's all speculation which I don't buy into. With that said, I hope TNA screws this up and causes Joe to go to WWE. Tell me SmackDown couldn't use this guy right about now? Hell if Joe went E, and Daniels went E, I would have zero reason to watch TNA. Imagine Joe vs. Benoit/Lashley/Regal/Birchall/ several guys from OVW that should be brought to SmackDown like CM Punk and Brent Albright. Hell, Joe vs. Punk II is one of the greatest matches in a long long time. I suggest you guys try and get that ROH DVD. Then again, they could saddle him with a stupid gimmick and take away his moveset, but I don't think they're that stupid (talking about the E). |

Joe, AJ, Daniels, and maybe one or two other guys would bring SD out of the ashes for sure, in theory. There's one huge problem that no one can overcome though: Terrible booking and terrible writers. |

I've still never seen the guy wrestle, but I hear he's brilliant... My question to those that have seen him: Do you think he could adapt to the WWE style? |

Possible, but I think it would almost be a tragedy to see him adapt to that "style." |

I agree with that. Joe does not need to adapt to WWE's style. If E is interested in Joe, they damn well better be interested in his style. Joe without his style isn't the Joe that I like. With that said though, I'm sure he'd do well with WWE's style, though he'd be limited greatly. |

God I hope he leaves TNA, and goes WWE, cause he's one of the few reasons I still try to follow TNA. Or if Tunner or someone else would get behind ROH, Joe would be great wrestling on national television/PPV, exclusive to ROH. That's the ideal dream, but WWE would do. |

As good as he could be in WWE, unfortunately Vince McMahon will figure out a way to complete mess up his character. TNA needs to give Joe the heavyweight title and just line up opponents for him to take out while he is this hot with the crowd, the names need to include, Jarrett, Styles, Sting, Christian Cage, Monty Brown |

Samoa Joe has got to be my absolute favorite discovery of 2006 so far... I kept hearing all these great things about him all of last year. But when I saw pictures of him, lets just say I was 'less than impressed'. I thought at first he looked like one of the Headshrinkers gay cousins. And his name was just awfully generic (although I suppose now it's not any worse than 'Cactus Jack' now that I think of it *another of my favorite wrestlers btw*) Now having gotten to see some of his matches with AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels in TNA, I have been absolutely blown away by this guy. Call me a bandwagon jumper or whatever you like, just make sure somewhere in there that you call me a huge Joe Mark. If TNA's management has an ounce of sense they will give this guy a MEGA-PUSH, since he is IMO the future of the business. And who amongst the IWC wouldn't mark out to see him give old Double J a good old 'Muscle-Buster' right through one of those sawdust gee-tars that he always carries. So yeah, I guess you could say I like this guy. PS, The 'Joe is Gonna Kill You' chants are AWESOME. Best one like that, that I've heard since Taz's ( One Z bitches) glory days in E-C-Dubya.. Jules |

Well said Jules, and welcome aboard. Hope you enjoy it here, we certainly enjoy having you. I certainly agree with everything you said. Joe has become one of my favorite wrestlers today (I still prefer Daniels, but I'm a big mark for him). https://www.rohwrestling.com/shoponline.asp...atid=161&id=452 https://www.rohwrestling.com/shoponline.asp...tid=161&id=1092 http://www.rohwrestling.com/shoponline.asp...&iCurrentPage=1 The first and last links come fully endorsed, as I have it (Joe/Kenta) or seen it (best of Joe 1). Best of Joe 2, I'm just assuming is good. If you have a spare $20, you should see about picking one of those up (assuming if don't have or haven't seen them). Joe is the man, and since he has reportedly cleared things over with TNA in the money dept., hopefully they push him towards a World Title run. He is certainly going to be the face of TNA. |

Thanks for the welcome Stinger. I really should check out those ROH DVD's sometime. I've seen clips of his match with Kenta Kobashi and also I've heard nothing but stellar praise about his work with CM Punk and all the other ROH work he's done. It's hard to believe he was ever defeated convincingly by 'Austin Aries' though Now that's no knock on Aeries though as he is a pretty entertaining wrestler. But I just can't see him matching up with Joe in the toughness department, especially considering the length and prestige of Joe's ROH title run. |

Yeah his work with Punk is worthy of all the praise it gets. Joe/Punk II is another DVD that is certainly worth the $20. Agreed about Austin Aries. I think that's one of the good things about RoH though, almost anyone can win the World Title from anyone. So unlike WWE and TNA, it's always got that uncertainity to it. I wonder how Joe is going to do in the Ultimate X. He's by far the biggest person to ever be in that match. I can't wait for DX to happen and be released on DVD so I can get it. On a related note, who else thinks they are running Joe/Daniels/Styles into the ground, since they are rumored to being having match 4 at lockdown in the cage? |

Joe-Daniels-Styles = Longest damn feud I have ever seen... I mean the matches have all been stellar five star instant classics to be sure, but that being said, one can't help but lose interest after about the 205th PPV that they all work together. I haven't seen the Ultimate X match yet, so this question goes out to all those who did; how did our beloved Joey boy do? PS, it's been rumored that Joe is set to begin working a program with Sabu soon. Any thoughts on this? Personally, if Sabu is not too banged up, I think this should be one hell of a fun feud. |

A Joe/Sabu feud would kick ass, because I'm sure joe would be extra stiff, 'cuz we know Sabu can certainly take the beating. While I enjoy Styles/Daniels/Joe, I will be glad when they do seperate things and other X guys get a chance to shine in title matches. Joe/Sabu should be, and most likely will, be the first step out of the X Division and towards the Heavyweight Title, for Samoa Joe. It's a money fued as far as I'm concerned. |

Recently in another thread the J-Man and I were discussing some fantasy booking 'dream matches' involving Samoa Joe vs Taz (old school taz) Seeing as Tazz is now an announcer with a bum neck, this feud right here is probably as close to that as we're going to get. Just thinking on it now though, I wish Joe had come around during ECW's prime years (97 or 98).. He would have been such a perfectly badass fit. In a semi related note I was watching a match between Christopher Daniels and Rob Van Damn from UPW (circa 2001 or so) at the end of that match there was a run in by a very young (but still uber badass) Samoa Joe.... Now talk about a dream match. Joe vs RVD would pwn on so many levels. Especially with the dueling martial arts style of both wrestlers. |

RVD vs. Joe wuld be amazing, but it would need to be in complete non WWE style, rules, and conditions. We're talking about really letting RVD cut loose and the whole nine yards. ECW style match with these two would be ungodly. |

Agreed X - 100 ^ A watered down WWE match between Joe and RVD would make me wince, but also a full on heavy contact balls out ROH/ECW style match between the two of them would make me wince in a GOOD (holy shit sort of) way. Also the way Van Dam sells everything right on the back of his neck would make Joe's Muscle Buster just look unbelievably deadly, and with Joe's thick skull I'm sure RVD could bounce Van-Whatcha-ma-callums off his head all night long if need be... But yeah, this match would pwn. |

I know this will never happen in a billion, zillion years, but imagine if uh...somethin' got worked out for the next ECW One Night Stand. ;) The only way that could happen, obviously, would be if Joe bolted from TNA for the WWE. Not sure what, if any chance, there is of that. |

That would be pretty cool, excpet in all my years of ECW watchering I can never remember seeing Joe compete... Now here's an idea, let's say RVD is backstage smoking some reefer when Vinnie Mac happens to walk by.. Van Dam stoned out of his mind offers Vince a toke. Vince infuriated, immeadiatly fires Rob, and then after his 90 day no complete cause ( A.K.A his three month pot break) is up then Van Dam can go to TNA and compete either in the X Division or the Heavyweight Division against the likes of Joe, Daniels, AJ Styles.... and quite posibbly the biggest dream match in the history of dream matches RVD vs Norman Smiley The Van Terminator vs The Big Wiggle... Wait.. sorry about that last part, I think I must have breathed in some of RVD's special orageno myself... *goes to lie down* |

RVD vs Norman Smiley :speechless:
:wtf: LOL, in all seriousness I like the sounds of some of those RVD matches. To be honest though, as someone who just can't get into and stay into TNA (since their move to Spike), I'd much rather see Joe/Daniels/Styles in WWE... well actually Joe and Daniels, I'm not big on AJ. SmackDown has a stacked roster of guys those two could do some awesome shit with. Back on Joe though:
I'll be picking this up (though I'm sure the matches will be clipped, like the Daniels DVD was). All of you should get it, for the Unbreakable Triple Threat Match alone. Easily the second or third best match of 2005. |

They edit down the matches? Why? I might get it, as the Walmart around here actually carries TNA PPVs and Special (a very limited supply, of course)... I've seen Samoa Joe wrestle one time...And man was he good... I wish the WWE could get him, but the more the WWE fails to push guys like CM Punk, the less I think they ever will have a chance at a guy like Samoa Joe. |

They clip the matches for no good reason at all. This DVD doesn't have as many matches on it, as the Daniels DVD, so maybe they won't do it with this one. The Daniels DVD has a LOAD of matches (most of them Triple X vs. AMW), and they clipped the hell out of it. The Unbreakable TT match is easily the best match TNA has ever had. Go out of your way to see it ;) I kind of agree with your last comment Chad, I just don't see how WWE could screw Joe up (though again, we are talking about the E here). CM Punk isn't getting the shaft somewhat, but he's in a much better spot than he was when he was in TNA. Punk is helping make OVW the number 3 promotion (2 in some folks eyes, not mine). I expect to see him on the blue brand before the Summer is over, especially considering his dance partner in Brent Albright has been called up. I think WWE would have enough sense to push Joe as a monster heel. One thing that would be in Joe's favor though, he's really good friends with John Cena and RAW writer Brian Gewirtz, both of which would probably prevent him from being treated like some might expect the E to treat him. Sadly he's locked up in TNA, until I believe 2008 or 2009 now that he worked out the money issues with them :( |

Damn, that's too bad about him being under contract with TNA for so long. Honestly, the news about Gerwitz and Cena really has me excited for him when and if he decides to come to the WWE. Of course, he also has a huge fan in Mick Foley, who sung his praises all over the states after his stint in ROH a year or so ago. I'm quite intrigued by the potential he has to be a major player in WWE some day. Perhaps the wait will be a good thing, as he'll be able to hone his skills and then bring them to WWE. Likewise, I could see a wait being a good thing for Christian if he were to ever come back. As for Punk, I'm hoping you are right about him. I just can't see how they can keep waiting. I hear so many good things about him...I hear he's adapted wondefully to the WWE style and has the mic skills to back up everything anyone could ever praise him for. I can't wait to see what this guy brings to the table... |

Well, I just read the news on LOP. Sabu no showed an impact taping, therefore the match at Lockdown hinges on whether or not he will show up. However this all may be blame-able on TNA since they announced the Sabu vs Joe match without even consulting Sabu first. Seriously, wtf is wrong with those idiots!? How can you advertise a match with someone who you have on a pay per appearence deal without giving them some kind of notice? And it's not like Sabu doesn't have a history of being selective about the dates he works, I remember back in his ECW days he was always an 'iffy' kind of guy at best, given he also worked alot of shows for FMW back then. If TNA fucks up this match, I will not be watching this PPV I was pissed when I heard about the shit with Liger. And now I'm double pissed at this. It might be time to just Lockdown this entire stinkin PPV. |
