Just finally watched this today, pretty good movie. Hopefully Cav still has the review he wrote for it so he can post it. Probably the best part of this movie is that it gives a little more backstory as to how Bruce Wayne became Batman than the other Batman movies did. |

I'd have to say the best part was: No Neon lights, neon paint, bad guys on ice skates, evil penguins, NO ROBIN, no terrible puns, no cartoon like violence, no stupid weapons, the list goes on and on..... I would say top 4 Comic movies made thus far..... |

THAT definitely sounds like an upgrade across the boards, although I must say: I do have a soft spot in my heart for the two Micheal Keaton Batmans. ;) |

Agree on basically all of the comments above. I waited and waited for this one, and then saw it three times in the theater in a span of like the first 10 days it was out. I did like the Keaton films myself Q, though now I feel Christian Bale has replaced him as the top Batman/Bruce Wayne of all-time. He has the billionaire playboy persona down well, and then the other half of the dark, cold, avenger cornered as well. He plays the young, misguided kid well early on, then transitions well into more of a calculating mastermind. Keaton's right there though, as he had the whole dark side down well. I felt his Wayne was more eccentric than maybe the character should be. Bale showing up to a dinner with stripping European women and throwing his money around just seems like a Bruce Wayne more in line with the way the character was intended to be. Can't wait for the first sequel in 2007 or 2008. I understand we may be seeing the appointment of Harvey Dent as the D.A. (remember the D.A. was killed near the end of Begins) and then his subsequent metamorphosis into Two-Face by the conclusion of the third film. Of course the Joker card found at the end of Begins is kind've a tip-off that we'll be seeing him in this next one.... |

Well according to the director, the Joker card was simply a tip of the hat to the original film (he was a big fan of it) They are actually not sure who will be the villain.....but most likely it will be the joker. |

Yeah I read that Snow....I figured it may have been kind've a smoke and mirrors deal to keep people guessing until the film actually comes out. It seems like Joker would be the next logical villain. Bale had been signed on for at least three films to begin with, and last I heard some of the other co-stars had re-signed to do at least the next one. I'd like to see Scarecrow have at least a small role in this as well, since he was never officially killed off in Begins. I liked his character, and Cillian Murphy did a hell of a job acting the creepy part. |

I have not seen this one, mostly because I didn't like the other Batman movies. If this one doesn't follow the cartoonish nature of past ones, like I'm reading here, I may have to rent it sometime. |

I've been Batman-ned out for quite some time, but reading this thread, in addition to other feedback, now makes me want to see this thing. |

I'm telling you guys. If you see this movie you will not be let down. I had had enough with Batman as well, but after seeing this movie I can't wait for the next. This is exactly what Batman should be. In the others it never explained that Batman was actually a trained ninja.....it does in this (follows the comic). |

I don't think it'll be Joker in the next one, since they could say.... Last time, on Batman.... I'm hoping for Bane, who'll break Batman's spine just like he did in the comics, and he shouldn't be anything like the Bane in Batman & Robin who was really gay. That or Two-Face. I've always had a soft-spot for Harvey, and the Batman in Batman Begins seems like a Batman to do with crime, not battling super hero freaks. Although, if they did go with Joker, they could use Harlequin, who came closer to killing Batman than Joker ever did. I think the next film needs a female villain in there somewhere. |

Bane's a bad ass. I'd love to see him done on film right. |

I'll just come in here and quickly say that I agree with all the praise that this film has gotten...I thought it was the best Batman film...easily...I liked the first and third Batman movies, but neither stands the test of time. Begins was a better overall film with a cast that left it impossible not to succeed. The biggest surprise of the film, though, was Bale...I wasn't expecting much out of this film despite the greatest cast surrounding him because I just didn't think he could get the job done...he didn't scream "Batman" to me...but he did very well, and the movie flourished as a result... |

No Sandman, I don't have the review. Lost it when I re-installed everything on the hard drive in August. |
