[BRIT. ALLY] ●»» Out of Character Name/Alias: Lizzie Age: Contact: You all know how to contact me Other Characters: Damien Feare ●»» In Character .__General Info__. Full Name: Gabriel Caden Baynham Nick name: Gabe or Earl of Darleston. Nick Name Explanation: Gabe is short for Gabriel and Earl of Darleston is his title. Age: 38 Gender: Male .__Appearance__. Overall Appearance: Gabe isn't the most handsome of men, but he has his own charm. He's an older gentleman, but he has a youthful look to him so many can't tell he is as old as he actually is. He has sandy blonde hair that is styled short, though it is long enough to get messy rather easily. Also, Gabe stylishly wears side burns, trimmed short. His eyes are a clear blue and usually have a bored look to them, but when he looks at his young wife they are warm. His skin is somewhat tanned, due to the fact he enjoys outdoor sports. Gabe wears what most gentlemen of the time where: A long sleeved, button up shirt; a vest to go over it; a suit jacket; and a cravat. His pants are usually dark and fitted. His boots usually go up to about his knees and are also black leather. This is only what he wears when he is among society and Port Royal. When he doesn't have to impress or he is on Tortuga (on assignment), he ditches most of the finery and ends up just wearing the long sleeved shirt, sleeves rolled up. When on Tortuga, his pants are usually those of lower class, probably brown too. And his shoes are no longer black leather, but rather scuffed up and worn brown leather boots, shorter than his dress shoes. Gabe has several distinguishing marks. He has scars from fights and old battles he had experienced in his life. Most of them are kept hidden from public view. Though his eye, which is either covered with a bandana or glass, was lost in his Naval career. There isn't much of a scar on his eye lid, though, so if you didn't know it was missing you wouldn't notice the glass eye. Gabe also rarely smiles, unless he is around his young wife or his children from his first marriage. Hopeful Celebrity: Rupert Penry-Jones Picture: ![]() Effects: A pistol and a sword. A bandana tied around his missing eye or around his wrist. A glass eye, usually what he wears when he is on Port Royal. .__Personality__. Personality: Gabe isn't a very warm man. He was raised by a cold family in a cold society, so naturally he isn't very comfortable showing emotions. Therefore, he always seems bored, as if the company he is keeping is bland. It was how he was taught to act while at social engagements, which makes him seem aloof and sometimes even full of himself. Due to this, many get the wrong impression about him, though he doesn't mind that. He would rather people write him off as some English prig than try to be in his business. Though, thanks to his title, people gossip about him anyways. Gabe has his faults, but he is also a very good man underneath. When he is with his family, namely his daughter and Jane, he is a much different person than he lets on. He is warm and loving, often going out of his way to please them. Though, if he is with them in public, he is much more subtle with his caring ways. Instead of a smile to his new wife, he might just lightly caress the small of her back when no one is paying attention. Due to this aloof manner in public, many wonder if his new marriage is a love match or if Jane was just trying to climb the social ladder. Gabe has a way of blending when he has to, which works well for him. Since he has to spend time in Tortuga, he's become a bit rougher around the edges and developed a cruder way of talking. Though he tries to behave when on Port Royal, sometimes things slip. This new, "common" side to him has got more tongues wagging. Living with the less endowed, though, has brought him and his new wife closer, since she is from that social standing. Likes: -Queen & Country -His new marriage & bride -Being free -Brandy -His daughter Dislikes: -His late wife -His late mother -His title, sometimes -Pirates -Too many obligations -Scandals, though he created one. Strengths: -Loyalty -Intelligent -Risk Taker, sometimes -Well Spoken Weaknesses: -His family is said to be cursed -He is in the middle of a scandal -He is a little cynical of English society -His love for his new bride (it can cause problems) .__History__. Personal History: Gabriel was born to a privlaged family. He was the second of two boys, so he didn't get as much grooming and attention as his older brother did. Though, knowing the society, it was expected and he didn't pay much mind to it. He was content being raised by nannies and the like, instead of his cold parents. Or rather parent, for when he was ten and his brother seventeen, their father had a riding accident and died. This made Erick Earl of Darleston, and their cold mother in charge of raising him. As soon as Gabe could, he made his escape and joined the British Navy. He was a good sailor and moved quickly through the ranks, due to both his family name and his abilities. He was the dutiful son, aswell, and married a woman to align his family to another powerful family. The marriage was not one of love, though, and eveyone knew that for the woman he married was known for her cold ways, much like his mother was. It was a miserable marriage, filled with anger and resentment. They had a daughter by the marriage, the only joy Gabe ever had in his life at the time. When Gabe lost his eye and was home on medical leave, he met Jane McQuarry. She was twenty years younger than him, the daughter of Gabe's wife's lady's maid. At first he just saw her as a sweet kid, but when his wife fell down the stairs and became cripped, Jane's sweetness came through and enchanted him. Jane took care of Gabe's wife, since her mother refused to deal with the woman's foul moods. Since there was no longer a sexual relationship between Gabe and his wife Victoria, he set about charming Jane. It took about a year, but Gabe finally bedded Jane. They were very discreet about it, but Victoria still seemed to have known and she sent her daughter to live with her parents. Soon after, Victoria died and her parents refused to give Gabe the child, putting out word that he was sleeping with a common Irish maid. About the same time, Gabe's older brother was killed in a fire at the estate, making Gabe the Earl of Darleston. Though his mother threatened to disown Gabe, he married Jane. To avoid the scandal, the two went on a honeymoon on the Continent. About six months after, Gabe got news that his mother killed herself from the shame of it all. Not really one to grieve a woman he didn't even care for, he left the funeral up to his lawyer. Not quite ready to go back to England, the new couple decided to head to the Caribbean. And, even though he was no longer officially working for the Navy, since he was a titled gentleman, he still was a quiet member of the British Navy. In fact, he might be on secret assignment on Tortuga, which means he has to spend a long time away from his young wife. Family: Ewan Baynham (Father :: Deceased); Victoria Baynham (Mother :: Deceased); Erick Baynham (Older Brother :: Deceased); Amy Baynham (Late Wife :: Deceased); Jane Baynham (Wife :: Living) Love Interests on TTC: His wife, Jane. .__Conclusion__. Any extra information we need to know about? Baynham family is said to be cursed, since everyone had died of mysterious causes, except for Gabriel. RP example: Baynum was happy to be on dry land again. The voyage between England and the Caribbean had been miserable for him. You would think, for a man who was used to being at sea, it would be just another day to him. But, this time, he had his wife with him. Not a man who is giving to worrying, he was unaccostom to fretting about her comfort the entire time. She had been a good sport about it, but still Gabe found it hard to just let things be. She was his everything and he hated to think she was miserable. Now that they have arrived, safely, he could stop worrying about cramped quarters and such. Though, being here opened up a new set of worries. Especially since he was to be away from Jane so much. His new job was risky and, though he tried to deny it, put his lovely wife at risk to. As Gabe stewed over this problem, he stared into the fireplace at their estate. That is until he was interupted by a knock at the library door.... ●»» Confirmation .__Proof of Plot__. What is Elizabeth Swann's age?
