Height: 5' 10" (1.78 m) Weight: 165 lbs. (74.8 k) Eyes: Dark brown Hair: Dark brown Attire: Amid the braids and dreadlocks of his hair, Jack wears several strands of beads, a single piece of eight draped over his bandanna (which marks him as the Pirate Lord of the Caribbean) A silver, chain-link charm, and a reindeer shin. Over his puffy white shirt, Sparrow wears a long waistcoat. It is blue on the front and dark gray on the back, the back being shorter than the front. The waistcoat has a pinstripe pattern to the back. He also wears dark gray drop front breeches, which are tucked into brown suede leather boots. Sparrow has a leather baldric with a silver filigree buckle slung over his shoulder, which holds the scabbard for his black sabre. His leather tricorne hat is medium brown. The back side is rolled up like a scroll. Sparrow also has a dark blue-grey frock coat. Four rings adorn Sparrow's hands. One is a skull ring with a green emerald on his right index finger. Another is a black onyx flower ring on his left ring finger. an oval amethyst ring on his left index finger, and a silver oriental dragon ring to his left thumb. He also has two leather glove bands on his right middle and ring fingers which attach his leather glove. Jack also wears a piece of lace around his left wrist, a token from a woman he met. Sparrow wears a red-striped sash and 2 belts around his waist. Attached to his belt is his compass, a small animal skin, a chicken foot, an animal vertebrae, and a small red mermaid fertility sculpture. Physical Description: Jack's trademark physical characteristic is a slightly drunken swagger, accompanied by slurred speech and awkwardly flailing hand gestures that make him appear unfocused. While talking to people, Sparrow has a tendency to stand too close to them and/or touch them. He usually talks with an impressive vocabulary and delights in confusing people with his speech, whether it be to avoid a fight or merely annoy them. He also tends to squint or furrow his eyebrows in confusion. Several of Jack's teeth have been capped over with gold, one of them in particular being utterly transformed into bronze during a teenaged quest to find the Sword of Cortés in and around New Orleans. His hygiene is lackluster. From the gingivitis halitosis breath to his unwashed, black powder stained hands, Jack is an unforgettable character. Distinguishing Marks: Open wound on his jaw (possibly symptomatic of syphilis); Tattoo on his forearm of a sparrow flying in front of a setting sun over the ocean; The letter "P" (for pirate) branded on his right wrist by Cutler Beckett of the East India Trading Company. A long jagged scar on his left forearm, two bullet-hole scars over the upper-left part of his chest. Effects: carries a number of items on his person at all times, which he collectively calls "my effects". They include his pistol, sword, coat and tricorne hat, and an unusual compass. Oddly, when referring to his "effects," he specifically mentions his hat separately. His sword is a hanger (a 17th and 18th century style of sabre) rather than a cutlass, the weapon preferred by most cinematic pirates. The sabre's longer blade allows him to keep his enemies a few inches further away than a cutlass. Sparrow carries a single barreled pistol given to him by Barbossa when he maroons him, apparently to commit suicide. The weapon was made by and bears the name of a gunsmith named "Perry." The pistol contained only one shot. During his escape from the Turkish prison, he also carried a double-barreled pistol. After his compass, Sparrow's most prized possession is his hat. He is rarely seen without it, and he always mentions it when discussing his effects. Jack's admiration for his hat is again seen when he offered to let Mr. Gibbs toss his hat in celebration, and after Gibbs enthusiastically tosses Jack's hat, Jack replies by saying: "Great, now go get it." .__Personality__. Personality Description: Jack always has a plan, even when he doesn't have a plan. He is an enigma, a man that man people can relate to, but whom ultimately no one understands. Jack is a decent, if self-serving, man who adheres to the "Pirates' Code." He believes pirates can still be "good men," which was his evaluation of "Bootstrap" Bill Turner. Unusually altruistic for a pirate, Sparrow will risk himself to save others, most notably Will and Elizabeth. It's implied that Sparrow's benevolence may be one reason his crew mutinied him. Sparrow also uses his supposedly legendary status to spin fantastic tales about his former escapades. Sparrow considers himself a ladies' man, explaining that he has a "tremendous intuitive sense of the female creature." However, he is seemingly unable to commit to a long-term relationship, although Elizabeth appears to be the first woman he is unable to forget. Interestingly, Sparrow tells Elizabeth that marriage is, "like a wager to see who will fall out of love first." As a youth, he unsuccessfully flirted with deadly mermaids and with Arabella, a crewmate on the Barnacle. A mature Sparrow is more adept at sweeping ladies off their feet, although his conquests seem to have a sour memory of him; former flames Giselle and Scarlett slap him or anyone looking for him. However, Tia Dalma, with whom Sparrow apparently has a history, is rather pleased to see him when he visits her, although his anxiety over their impending reunion indicates they may have parted on less than good terms. Sparrow is usually heavily in debt, including to Anamaria for her boat (this was settled) and a blood debt to Davy Jones Jack apparently owes all the Pirate Lords. It is unclear whether Sparrow plans his actions or makes them up as events occur. Whatever the reason, Sparrow seems to be the most incompetent of the Nine Pirate Lords (although the most reknowned), leading Norrington to describe him as the "worst pirate I've ever heard of" (to which Jack replies, "But you have heard of me"). The only explanation Sparrow gives regarding his incredible history is "I'm Captain Jack Sparrow." Likes: Treasure, Women, Fame Dislikes: Government, English laws, Raisins Strengths: * see above Weaknesses: * see above .__History__. Personal History: Jack Sparrow, born Jack Teague, the son of an East India Trading Company seaman Captain Teague and an Indian maiden, was born in British Colonial India on a pirate ship during a typhoon and was once employed as an agent by the East India Trading Company. Sparrow helmed the Wicked Wench, an EITC merchant vessel, performing odd jobs for Cutler Beckett. When he refused to transport slaves and instead freed them in Africa, Beckett sanctioned the torching (and sinking) of the Wicked Wench, and literally branded Jack Sparrow a pirate. Sparrow came to embrace his outlaw status, becoming a successful pirate with no desire to return to life under the command of others. He soon became one of the Nine Pirate Lords, with his territory being the Caribbean Sea. Later, he petitioned Davy Jones to raise his ship from the ocean floor, and rechristened her the Black Pearl. Jones granted Sparrow captaincy of the ship for thirteen years, after which Jones would own Sparrow's soul for one hundred years. As a teenager, Sparrow and a young, motley crew had many adventures aboard a tiny fishing ship called The Barnacle. The adventures included a search for the legendary Sword of Cortés, and a trip to New Orleans that turned the city (and one of Jack's teeth) into bronze. Along the way, they battled pirates, ancient curses, witchcraft, sirens, and the power of the sea. Known Relatives: Captain Jonathon Teague (father), Mai (mother) Love Interests on TTC: (if any) None, rumored Elizabeth Swann .__Conclusion__. Any extra information we need to know about? RP example: With a sweep of his long frock coat, the dreadlocked pirate walked into the tavern. His chocolate eyes scanned about for their usual trinkets… the card game in the corner… sixes and sevens, or a billiards table he could hustle. His boots thudded a path to the bar and he knocked upon the worked surface with his palm. “A bottle of rum if you please!” he spoke loudly, almost as if he wanted the attention. As the drink arrived he tossed down a shilling and turned to face the room. His elbows were resting upon the counter and as he brought the rough tumbled glass to his mouth it concealed a devious grin. The amber liquor was swallowed eagerly as he savoured the beverage. It was utterly amazing, nothing quite compared to the taste of a cold drink of rum after arriving in port. A delicious expression worked over his mouth and he felt the tickle of amusement at the back of his neck at the din of dice being thrown. A subtle whistle emitted and he tilted his head in the trio’s direction. “Might I inquire as to the running bet gentleman?” His voice was softer now, the con artist in him working the gears. “Fancy yourself a lucky man Eh?” the rather stout and pimply man inquired. His meaty fist threw the yellow stained dice into the wooden box, and grinned as he won that round. Sparrow walked forward and then leaned his point elbow on the counter adjacent the portly fellow. “Well I’ve been known to have lady luck smile down upon my humble visage… at least I hope that’s who it was.” He tossed down a small pouch of coin and spoke rather assertively now. “I warrant that five gold crowns is a bit rich for your blood, but…” he sighed, reeling in his bait. “…I can always take my business elsewhere.” The portly man snatched his hand out and placed it atop the purse. “Now, now don’t get too hasty sir I mean no offence.” Jack smirked and picked up the dice. “Well then shall we?” He intoned with a velvety voice as he threw the lot ●»» Confirmation .__Proof of Plot__.
