.__General Info__.
Full Name: Evelyn Jane Rose
Pirate Name: Crimson Thorn
Pirate Name Explanation:
Evelyn Rose--> Red Rose--> Red = Crimson
Evelyn Rose--> Rose Thorn = Beautiful but Deadly
End Result: Crimson Thorn
Age: 17
Gender: Female

.__Appearance__.
Overall Appearance: One could say that there is not much to see when it comes to Evelyn Rose, standing at only five foot, two inches. His "li'l miniature corsair," as her father used to call her, Evelyn has grown used to wise cracks about her tiny structure and chose to use it to her advantage; since her enemies underestimate her abilities, it makes it easy to plan a surprise attack. However, being so small limits young Evelyn to standard labor work without keeling over. Although, living the ways of the pirate for most of her life, she is quite toned. She has extremely powerful legs for being so small, having spent a lot of training with shackles attached to iron balls. As for her arms, they are quite scrawny for a girl who constantly sword trains; she just can’t find a way to bulk up her arms.

Basically, Evelyn has an hourglass figure, like most women in their teens. She has a relatively flat stomach apart from the small baby fat that has lingered over the years, creating a slight pudge around her hips. Other than that, she is quite toned in her legs and arms. Her breasts, plump and firm, are somewhat strange to see on such a small, slender body such as hers. Because of this, over the past few years, poor Evelyn has had on-and-off back strains which disable her of bending certain ways. Not a critical condition of course, just annoying for her to live with.

Perhaps one of Evelyn’s most recognizable traits is her sun-speckled eyes. Her deep hues of blue and green create a somewhat serenity to herself whenever near a mirror; she absolutely adores her eyes. If looked at close enough, there is a visible golden ring outlining her pupil. Of course, nothing that most people notice, just a random attribute that Evelyn took upon herself to notice one of the many times she is caught staring into the depths of her mirror. Possibly the only reason people notice Evelyn’s light eyes right away is because of the contrast of her hair. Her dark brown locks fall loosely down to just below her shoulders. Most of the time, Evelyn keeps her messy hair down, her bangs falling loosely in her eyes. Sometimes if it becomes too spastic to bear, she puts it up into a messy bun, or perhaps tucks it away in her father’s tri-corner hat.

Sun-kissed skin and her pale pink lips hardly grasp the attention of men, her looking sort of dirty. And, like all women, Evelyn needs to be flattered by means of compliments. Often at times, she will be caught spreading a thin layer of coal below her eyes to add emphasis. Even sometimes, though not as frequently, she will dab her mother’s old perfume on her wrists and neck on special occasions. Evelyn is positively obsessed with staying clean at all times. Though bathing once every three to four days is not an ideal schedule for her, she is utterly repulsed by the filthy women of Tortuga and fears to go without washing at least once a week.

Being as short as she is, Evelyn clothes are rather big on her. Most of the time, she has to rip off male pants into long shorts because woman clothes never look right on her. She keeps her pants up with a large leather belt with a bright silver buckle. Being rather fond of shiny tassel-like things, Evelyn sewed a few beaded strings here and there on her belt so they dangled at her side as she walked. She wears a rather large button-down white shirt. The shirt is so big and stretched out that the neck of it starts almost to her shoulders, making the sleeves surpass her fingertips. But a black leather bustier with crisscross ties in both the front and back keeps the shirt tight at her thick sides. She also has small leather straps woven around the palm of her hand, attached to the sleeves so they don't become too annoying flapping at her fingertips.

Lastly mentioned is Evelyn's most sacred possessions: her mother and father's keepsakes. With her father, he left her with one of his most prized belongings, his tri-corner hat. He always had a strange belief that his good fortune came from his shabby hat. However, Evelyn had learned rather quickly that it wasn’t a good-luck hat at all...either that or it just didn’t work for her. In any case, she keeps it on her person at all times. Her mother on the other hand had bestowed a much more valuable finding: a bell. Not a normal bell of course, but one with a rather strange power. By taking the rusty silver bell and shaking it, one would not hear a noise. However, whenever the wearer is in need of an answer, all they need to do is ask it a question. A slight eerie voice appears echoes into the wearer's head, making its verdict quite clear. However, it will only answer if the question is deeply desired in the depths of one's heart.

Effects:.__Personality__.
Personality: How to describe what even the character at hand is unaware of? It's true, for Miss Evelyn cannot even say what she would do or think unless the circumstance comes up and she experiences it firsthand. And for someone to act purely on their spurs of the moment, this proves that she is not the wisest out of the bunch – certainly not captain material, to say the least. To be blunt, Evelyn has made quite a name for herself for being the Caribbean’s worst pirate captain, let alone the youngest. If she were to have a soft spot, it would indeed be the awful acknowledgment of how she has tarnished her father’s name oh-so much since his passing. However, the young pirate does possess inhumane aspects that convinces most that one day she will be become a treacherous captain.

Like every other pirate in existence, Evelyn is bloodthirsty ravager. Perhaps not to the extent of a man, she has still been known to not hold back from exercising her pirating effects on her victims. However, she wouldn’t dare dream of harming a child, seeing as she still is one.

Another obvious quality of this woman is her distinct stubbornness and will to overcome any other force. Of course, every pirate captain is expected to fight to the ends of the Earth for whatever they desire, but Evelyn often drives her passions overboard. Hardly stopping her pursuit until it is too late, she repeatedly lands herself in many troubles with those of the naval enforcement. Strange enough, Evelyn has a knack for getting herself out of an extremely sticky situation...now if only she could weasel herself out of her simple problems.

Even though her crew see Crimson Thorn as a ‘clumsy, ruthless corsair’ if you will, Evelyn has many habits that she tries her absolute hardest to subside. One is her undying urges to live a normal life like a normal girl. If not around her crewmen, she sometimes sneaks off to look at dresses and jewelry, giggling giddily with excitement if a handsome man walks by. However, she knows that a normal life for her is as far off as she is for becoming the most notorious pirate. Believing that because of her girlish habits is why her captaining abilities stops short, Evelyn curses herself for everything she is internally, thus resulting in her bitterness. But of course, no one knows this about her, and she has made sure of that. Sometimes even a crewman that asked too many questions has turned up dead on this ship every so often...as to who killed him remains a mystery to the rest of the crew.

Strengths: Though having close to utterly annihilating her captain status, Evelyn kept her eminence in only a few ways: most being her skills of her weaponry. Being raised in the presence of ruthless pirates, it was apparent that she would learn the special maneuvers of the blade and pistol. Also, one of her strongest traits like most pirates is the art of lying. Evelyn can con her way out of almost any situation.

Weaknesses: Evelyn would love nothing more than to say she has no weaknesses whatsoever, like a real pirate would be. However, there are quite a few obvious flaws she possesses. One of the most apparent is that she wears her emotions on her shoulder, quickly attacking anyone who points that out to her. After all, she is still only a teenager, and thus very sensitive to everything that goes on around her. Another obvious defect she has is her undying devotion to her father's reputation. Though Evelyn knows she tarnished his good name after he passed away, she would do close to anything to rebuild the feared name of the Devil's Sanctum.

.__History__.
Personal History: Before Evelyn was even born, Jonathon Rose sailed the seven seas as a feared pirate. Known as the Tempest Scourge, he plundered and pillaged everyone from peasants to those of royalty from all over the world. However, a very strange thing happened while thieving a rich family in Naples: he fell in love. Apparently, the young daughter of the household, Sestine, snuck aboard his ship to retrieve an extremely valuable family heirloom. Obviously, she was found immediately, and as Jonathon was about to slaughter the extra baggage, he decided to let her stay on the ship as his play toy.

As the months went by, he began feeling strong affection towards the woman, and eventually she felt the same; the story of a basic Stockholm Syndrome. Within two years, Sestine bore a child, and sadly her last. She died shortly after her daughter was delivered, leaving a ruthless pirate captain with a small baby crying in his arms. And though Jonathon was always dead set against being a family man, he refused to send the only piece of his lover he had left. Sp then did his journey of a pirate-father began. However, regardless of her motherless-life, Evelyn grew up relatively normal...as pirate standards go.

Evelyn spent the first decade of her life not knowing there was a difference between her and the rest of the crew on the Devil’s Sanctum, except for of course that she was a lot smaller than everyone else. She only truly knew the difference between a man and a woman after sneaking into the crew's quarters during one of their many rum-infested parties, and there she saw what they were doing to the poor women stolen from their homes. But it didn't much matter to Evelyn what their fate was, as long as it wasn't her.

She was trained thoroughly in the ways of the blade, and is a fair shooter from afar. Also having been blessed with an over-protective father, Evelyn was taught how to kick with such an abrupt force, it often brings men to their knees and tears to their eyes. Her father taught her many things, most being ways to protect herself against unruly men that may take advantage of her; and many times during her early teenaged years, that came in handy. Unfortunately, tragedy struck and Evelyn's happy life came to a screeching halt.

One unfaithful day, when Evelyn was only sixteen years old, the Devil's Sanctum had stopped in Tortuga while scourging the Caribbean to stock up on food and rum. Of course, the crew insisted on staying up past waking hours the previous night finishing up the last barrels of rum, so only the captain went into town. Evelyn stayed close to his heels, pointing out the newly imported china dolls, begging for a few shillings to purchase one. Like always, he gave in before an eye could blink, and off she went across the cobblestone street with glee. But to her dismay, naval soldier decided to drop into Tortuga for a routine pirate roundup.

Almost immediately, after spotted the infamous Tempest Scourge, pistols rang out and cutlasses were thrown every which way. It didn't take long for the fleet to take the man down, blood spewing out of his raggy clothes. As Jonathon fell to the ground, and Evelyn's eyes lit up with fury, she reached for her tucked pistol. it took all of her mustered strength to pull away from the men, hiding in the shadows and quickly moving to the back of the island where the ship was docked before the Navy caught sight of it.

It has been one entire year since that horrible day passed, and the crew of the Devil's Sanctum is still wanted for countless murders. According to Jonathon Rose's will, Evelyn was to take up her role as captain. However, after preceding her father, she had made quite a name for herself for running his reputation straight into the ground. Somewhat on the brink of committing mutiny, the crew of the Devil's Sanctum is patiently waiting for Crimson Thorn to become a feared pirate captain, and she is completely obsessed in doing just that. However, Evelyn refuses to leave the Caribbean until she has avenged her father's death by killing every inhabitant of the Royal Navy.

Any extra information we need to know about? Umm...I'm awesome :'D

RP example: (from the first TTC;; "Trinidad Treasure Hunt")
Twisting her messy hair in a sloppy bun on the top of her head, Evelyn threw on her tri-corner hat. Only a few strands of her dark hair fell out of the bottom of the hat, whipping around wistfully in the wind. She was pushed up against the wooden railing of the Pearl, humming a soft tone as she peered out unto the endless ocean. It shimmered brightly as the sunlight danced across the water, sending up the aura of the golden sea like it did every morning out on the Caribbean.

Last night was quite a big night indeed. Waking up in a Port Royal hospital bed, sneaking out and contacting Jack, breaking out her crew only to lose them in the midst of a giant gun fire frenzy from the navel soldiers, coming aboard the Black Pearl and sailing away from the city in failure, and finally getting a letter from Raven attached to a bird. When Evelyn woke up the next morning, she hardly thought anything from last night actually happened. But of course, waking up alongside Jack made it hard for her to doubt anything that happened the previous day didn't occur.

According to the letter she received last night, they were headed for Trinidad. That happened to be the very place that the treasure they were seeking for so long was. Was it a coincidence? Something about this whole situation made her skin crawl; something was just not right. But Evelyn couldn't just leave her friends alone. Everything she put them, herself, and Jack through would've been a waste.

She actually felt bad for not telling Jack that Raven's cousin was indeed in with the Royal Navy. But he was willing to meet with their captain, that's got to show some sort of tolerance level, right? But the man didn't know that he had already met the captain of The Devil's Sanctum...and he was quite forward with her on that occasion. Evelyn just hoped that he would be taken aback enough to drop most of hostilities with the pirates at the moment.

Shifting her gaze to the front of the Pearl, Evelyn pulled herself onto her palms and pushed herself as far as she could off the side of the ship without falling into the water. From what she could see, they were becoming close to the cove-like island of Trinidad. She had only been there once before when her father was seeking shelter from a nasty storm. It was quite big and had many trees and caves; she nearly got lost last time she was there. But that time, it was dark and damp. This time, the sun cast its bright rays upon the treetops, bouncing off the leaves and onto the large beach, making the sand look as if it glowed.

Pulling herself back to the ship's floor, Evelyn pulled out her letter again, reviewing it quickly a few times just in case she missed any information. Though it mad her quite aggravated that the letter didn't state where on the island to meet her cousin, she kept a blank expression on her face. She would just need to guess where the best place to meet someone would be.

It didn't take long for the Pearl to make its way to the back of the island, away from view just in case. Without a word of goodbye to anyone, Evelyn helped herself to the longboat strapped to the side of the ship. She would've actually been surprised if anyone saw her leave; they were all wrapped up in their duties to make the Pearl secure against the sea, but at any given moment to be ready to shove off as soon as Evelyn came back. It didn't much matter to her that no one saw her leave; she made it quite clear to Jack the previous night that she wanted to go alone. (She didn't want him to know that she was dealing with a commodore.)

Throwing all of her strength into rowing the longboat across the corner to the other side of the island, Evelyn grunted in pain all the way. Her chest was still hurting from the bullet injury she had gotten only a few days ago, and working her arm muscles was like poking fearsomely at her wound. It wasn't that long until she made her way on shore, pulling the edge of the long boat a few feet onto the beach so the sand would prevent it from washing away during her little meeting with Jefferey.

She fell to the ground, her feet digging into the sand of the beach as she waited. Looking around quickly, Evelyn skimmed the horizon of the sea to check if the ship was coming. Nothing. After only a few minutes did the sun's heat pounding against her head became too much for her to handle. Pulling herself off the beach, she patted her arms roughly on her ripped-up pants, dusting off the sand that clung to her.

Turning around, she walked swiftly to the place where the trees met the sandy beach. Slumping against a tree in the shadows of the leaves, Evelyn rested her head against the rough wood of the trunk. She could have sworn that an hour had passed since she was last on the Pearl, and that was too much. Not getting a lot of sleep last night, her head began to pulse heavily, making her wince in slight pain.

Soon, she found herself closing her eyes all together and leaning to her side. Evelyn's eyes didn't stay closed for that long before she felt herself drifting off to sleep with her mouth slightly ajar and her hat slumped over her shut eyes.
