Unfortunately I never got to meet the man himself, I'm only 32 (though my dad did have a piss stood next to him once  to use my dads words "I went to the toilet twice that night, and I swear Oliver Reed was still on his first visit when I was on my second!).

It appears that some of you may have been fortunate enough to meet the great man. We would love to hear your encounters or any stories thay you may have, so please post them here!

I would like to star off with something like ' I first met Oliver Reed.......'

Unfortunately I can't. But I have a friend who is the little boy playing in the street right at the start of 'Women in Love'. They made the film in the Derbyshire village where he grew up and he got roped in as a extra.

Not quite Alan Bates ....but at least he can say he made a film with Oliver Reed. :D

I think it is irrelevant if we met him or not, the main focus is to just enjoy the work and keep the memory alive. ;)

Very true.......I'd still like to say 'when we met etc.....' but I enjoy the films as much as reading about him.

Although I never met the man (boo hoo) I am going to Malta in September and will hopefully visit The Pub (anyone know if its still there by the way?) where he died. Sort of my own little tribute. Hey, what a place for someone like him to go....in the boozer! So I shall no doubt say a quick one for him and raise a glass (ok or 2! - I am commemorating Oliver Reed here!)
Cheers folks!

Thanks for that! - I'll assume that it is then! I thought The Pub was probably still there in Archbishop Street but you never know...
Will check out any spooky feelings around the place too....incase "him himself" is still lurking in erethral form.....LOL
