This thread will combine all of the released details concerning the gameplay of the mod. I will be writing it in the form of a manual - with everything clearly set out. There may eventually be illustrations!

Your Character

Udeval Morchanath (of the Morchanin) is a Scout, one of the elite warriors who serve the Ilsamir line of Kings in payment of an ancient debt.

Udeval is fit and strong, but he is neither invulnerable nor inexhaustible. When needed a “Heads-Up-Display” or HUD will appear on the screen. This information is only that which is most crucial to your survival. There are two bars displayed.

The Health Bar
This bar (which is Red) indicates Udeval’s present state of health - it represents the number of hits he has taken and the number he can sustain before he dies. The stock of this bar decreases as Udeval suffers damage - this can be environmental (from falling etc.) or sustained in combat (by being struck, thrown or shot). You can restore this bar by eating, resting and using medical items (such as bandages and herbs). There are some health-depleting effects - such as those induced by poison or severe injury - which will remain until properly treated (either by Udeval himself or by a doctor or similar character). Other health effects may also affect your energy levels.

The Energy Bar
This bar (which is blue) indicates Udeval’s energy levels. This bar is depleted as Udeval performs taxing actions - such as lifting or carrying heavy weights, climbing, running or jumping. Combat also takes large amounts of energy, but the amount is dependant on a number of variables (such as adrenaline levels, opponent’s strength and confidence and the type of technique and weapon you are using). There will be certain situations where your energy is almost limitless, but expect to pay this back after the battle is over!

If you have low energy and continue to exert yourself your energy will recover more and more slowly - so it is important not to over-exert yourself. Energy is recovered best by resting, but it can also be restored, or even enhanced, by maintaining your hydration and eating nutritious foods. Certain effects (such as those induced by poison) can either prevent your energy from recovering, reduce your total energy “capacity” or make your actions more taxing.

The Health and Energy system is subject to change. There will certainly be limits on health and energy, and these could be represented on a bar, but they may be more convincingly illustrated by changes to Udeval's movement.

Please leave comments and criticisms in the thread below ;).
