I know it's predictable to set up a wishlist for games just like BF3 or AVO3, well here's some ideas for Savage 3.


  • On the top of my list because I just got ff a server where the teams were seriously uneven, is team balancing and allowing members to more easily switch teams & squads.
  • I would like to see heavy melee units (savages, Legionnaires, etc.) have no ranged weaponry. It's dumb that a heavy fighting unit has 2 long range guns. There should be units that are good at long range attacks and those that are good at close range melee. The long range should support the melee units along with shamans etc. To go into more detail I think that the scout is too strong in melee against hunters etc. It should have a good back stab but be less effective going toe to toe with a melee unit.
  • There needs to be one menu not different menus for different options set to multiple different buttons. Right now there's Y, H, F10, Tab, etc. etc. especially for commander! There should be one menu with tabs.
  • I would like melee strikes to work on a more controlled method as well. For example; I think it would be great if a player could hold down left mouse and charge up a hit. The longer they hold that button down the harder the hit will be and the more likely they will stun an opponent (see next point).
  • Stuns need to last longer so that you can fully take advantage of a player that's stunned. They should not be able to sprint or move in a stunned state.
  • I would like to see your melee attack rate connected to your stamina. If you have high stamina you can attack a lot, if you have low stamina you can't. Attacking obviously would use up stamina so if you just attack non-stop you'll eventually out of breath and unable to attack which will allow more patient players to take advantage.
  • There should be location based hits. And limbs should ave a set amount of damage they can take before they become useless. If they reach a critical point they can be chopped off.
  • There should be spam blocker to stop 14 year olds from whining non-stop. This creates a bad atmosphere in the game and distracts others from reading messages that could be genuinely informative.
  • A commander tutorial and practice feature is essential!
  • A tech tree tab on the commander screen would be great for new players.


I'm not familiar with the game enough yet to make a comprehensive list but these are some things that stand out early on.

It basically shows how melee combat could be in games like Savage 2. You have "real time strikes" that;
